When it was the next day a 37 year old Hailey Halstead walked up tords the stairs to the district she was greeted by her husband and her fellow co-workers, when she asked where's Lacie, some of them said that she's in the break room studying. When they were all working Hank came out of his office and said...

" Guys! Tonight where gonna have family dinner." Hank said and they where surprised even Adam
" oh boy when?" Adam asked
" After work and I'm bringing my date." Hank said & they where a bit excited to find out who is it
" Who is it Sarge?" Kevin asked
" yeah tell us." Jay said
" Nah uh you guys will ruin the surprise." Hank said as he walked back into his office as Lacie came out of the break room
" um did grandpa said family dinner?" Lacie asked them
" Yeah he did, why?" Kim asked
" cause I was wondering if I could bring my date." Lacie said and they where shocked
" Hailey and Jay, can she date?" Vanessa asks
" she's our daughter and the one with our grandchildren and your niece and nephew so yeah we are and of course you can bring him." Hailey said and Jay nodded as agreement
" Yeah Mommy's right you can bring who ever you want. And besides Adam." Jay said and they all laughed
" Not funny Halstead." Adam said
" oh but witch Halstead are you talking about?" Hailey asked
" Jay Halstead." Adam said and they all laughed
" alright let's get back to work before Hank gives us a heart attack." Kevin said and they nodded as they got back to work

Later on - Getting ready for dinner

" Oh I hope that my father and my mother will like you." Lacie said to Jake
" I hope so too, are you ready?" Jake asked
" Yeah I'm ready." Lacie said as they walked threw her parents door and to appear Hailey Ann Halstead walking around trying to put her ear rings on
" oh my gosh, you must be Jake Anderson, my names Detective Hailey Ann Halstead, but you can call me Hailey or Ms Halstead." Hailey said
" Nice to meet you Ms Halstead, I have heard a lot about you." Jake said as her husband came down the stairs
" Oh you must be Jake Anderson Detective Jay Alexander Halstead but you can call me Jay or Mr Halstead." Jay said
" nice to meet you as well Mr Halstead I can already tell that you guys like me." Jake said
" are you kidding me! Your like the best guy for our sweet babygirl." Hailey said
" Yeah and how can we not like you?" Jay asked
" cause some parents that I met are cops and some parent cops don't like me but I can't believe that you guys are cops and like me at the same time." Jake explains
" well some of those parents that you met are weak and sold but us where powerful." Hailey said and they all chuckled
" so now your apart of the family." Jay said and he smiled
" thank you! So where's this dinner at?" Jake asked
" it's at the district where me and Jay work at." Hailey said
" alright let's go before Sarge gets the beat on." Jay said as they all walked out of the door
