" Go on Jay tell us the story of what happened!" Hank their first sergeant said
" ok ok you don't need to rush him now." Hailey said as Jay looked at her
" Thanks Babe." Jay said and the hole unit even Trudy & Hank where shocked
" so tell me how you two got together?" Nadia asked
" alright so when we we're in the waiting room waiting for Natalie and William to come and give us our DNA's we were talking if the DNA test wasn't going to go out what will Lacie stay!" Jay started
" And than I asked him what was doctor Sarah was talking about soon after that he said I have no idea but after that he said." Hailey turned to Jay
" and I said that she has her blond hair." Halstead said as they where shocked
" oh boy keep going." Kevin said
" soon after that Hailey said what would you guys say what would hank say what would trudy say!." Jay explained
" and than Jay asked me the cutest but most importantly question of all." Hailey said
" and what would that be?" Adam asked
" when was the last time that me and Hailey had sex!" Jay finished
" in my unit? In my fucking unit?" Hank cursed at them
" hank theirs a kid here." Trudy said
" but anyway and then I said Jay Halstead we were friends back than. And then he said but what if Lacie is our child." Hailey said making the hole room gasp like idiots
" what else?" Kim asked them
" and than she asked me if I was still talking about Lindsay after that I said no she wasn't great like her Hailey's excellent." Jay said
" and than I said stop making me blush." Hailey said
" Aww." The hole room said
" yeah that's cute but in my unit?" Hank asks
" sorry Sarge we didn't mean too." Jay said
" that's ok and besides you guys are cute together anyway so where's my new granddaughter?" Hank asked and they where shocked
" but I thought you were mad at us?" Hailey said
" I was for a moment but-." Hank was cut off
" you even said a cus word at us." Jay said
" I know but that came out of my mouth instantly." Hank said as they rolled their eyes
" Sure Sarge Suresh." Hailey said as Lacie came out of the break room
" Mommy daddy! Can we go home now?" She asked
" But first don't you wanna meet your new family?" Jay asked as Lacie nodded
" Hi! My names Lacie Maya-Angelou Halstead." She said shyly
" Hi sweetie my names Sergeant detective Hank Voight but you can call me grandpa Hank, and these are your uncles and aunts." Hank introduced
" So that's aunts Nadia, Vanessa, and Kim and that's uncles Adam, Kevin, & mouse." Jay said
" and I'm your grandma Trudy & I'll be the best one that you'll ever got." Trudy said as hank rolled his eyes playfully
" oh yeah go on say it." Hank said
" I have nothing to say." Trudy said
" daddy can we stay here for a little longer?" Lacie asked
" sure sweetie as long as you want." Jay said as she ran tords her aunties
" I love you Jay Alexander Halstead." Hailey said and he smiled
" I love you too Hailey Ann Upton." Jay said

Later on - Back at home

" mommy, what's for dinner?" Lacie asked when she came from upstairs
" umm how about pizza?" Hailey asks
" Yay, you know you and daddy are the best parents I have ever met." Lacie said as her mother grew tears
" aww sweetheart I'm glad that you realized." Hailey said as Jay came from outside
" Realized what?" Jay asked as he gave Hailey a kiss on the cheek and Lacie on the head
" that she realizes that where the best parents for her." Hailey said and Jay was shocked to here it from his biological daughter
" Sweetie where so proud of you." Jay said as Lacie smiled
" I love you mommy and daddy." She said and they smiled
" we love you too baby." Both of them said
" so what are we having for dinner Hails?" Jay asked using her favorite nickname
" pizza." Hailey answered
" with drinks?" Jay asked her
" yeah sure, Lacie what would you-." Hailey was cut off by something that crashed that was coming from the living room
" I'll get her.'" Jay said as he was walking tords the living room finding Lacie crying by the table and Jay was heartbroken as Hailey came running in
" Lace what happened?" Hailey asks
" I got hurt." Lacie said as she sobbed and Jay picked her up as he carried her to the couch
" where does it hurt?" Jay asked
" on my foot." Lacie
" do you want me to call uncle Will?" Hailey asks
" hmmm." Lacie said as she was almost done crying
" here Hailey why don't you calm her down and I'll call." Jay said
" alright." Hailey said as she walked over to her crying daughter

( phone call between William and Jay)

William - Hey bro what's wrong?
Jay - hey can you come over??
William - Yeah sure everything ok?
Jay - no man, you see Lacie hurt her foot..
William - Lacie? As in Lacie Maya-Angelou with our last name?
Jay - Yes that's it, I'll explain everything when you come over bring Natalie too
William - alright I will bye
Jay - thanks bro I owe you one, bye...
( End phone call between William and Jay)

" is will coming?" Hailey asks as Jay was walking back into the living room
" yes he is, he said that he was on his way with Natalie." Jay said
" Good." Hailey said as Lacie stopped crying
" hey mama's how is your foot?" Jay asked
" Daddy! It still hurts." Lacie said
" don't worry uncle William and aunt Natalie will be here." Jay said
" uncle William and aunt Natalie what's going on Jay?" Hailey asks
" you know." Jay said as he looked at her
" oh I see what your tryin to do." Upton said
" I'll go wait by the door." Jay said as he got up again...
" don't worry little one help is on the way." Hailey said as she confirmed her daughter
