Scarlet Nights

《1》

  'Stella!' I woke up from my sleep very tired, it was Paula my best friend shouting my name in the early hours of the morning.
  'There should better be a good reason why you're  calling my name this early in the morning Paula' I asked yawning with sleep in my eyes. 'We've got new neighbours  look!' She drags me from my bed to the window side  ' I can't see them where are they?' Paula hisses at my sleepiness. 'You would've seen them if you  were facing the right direction, look west just beside you're house'. It was at that moment I realised some one moved into the vacant house beside ours .
   'That's where we normally play right? They're taking our play spot'. I looked at Paula to see her smiling 'well I don't mind, besides the new boy is cute right?'
      'Paula!' I can't believe  she is already admiring him I mean they just took away our play spot. Cute my FOOT! I gave my window one more glance and started walking back yo bed.
      'Come on Stella you can't be going back to sleep now' I snuggle deep into  my sheets, morning sleep was obviously  the best sleep.
      I groaned as Paula was opening all my windows 'Paula I'm hope you are not here yo take me with you to greet the new neighbours '. Paula was my bestie  but she was too hyper active and on some days like this it really gets on my nerves.  I opened my eyes to look at Paula and i saw her looking at me with the cutest puppy eyes.
     'Paula stop it you can't be using this on me, okay give me 10 minutes yo freshen up'.
    I hurriedly  wore a pair  of black shorts and a white vest, and I ran downstairs  with Paula. As soon as we passed the kitchen nanny Griselda called us back to eat our breakfast. Luz my younger sister  was already sitted at the dining table eating breakfast, Luz my younger sister is just 8 years old, she has golden locks which is from my mum and my dad turquoise eyes. After breakfast Paula dragged me so we would leave the house in a hurry. Like I said today is one of the days I hated the fact she got too excited  I wasn't a fan of making new Friends  and I wasn't trying to be one.
   As soon as I walked outside the gate I saw my parents laughing with the new neighbours, as soon as mum saw me she called me over to greet them ' Stella dear, come greet our neighbours they will be staying in the house next to ours'. My eyes work just fine right? I mean it's totally obvious  they were moving next to us but mum has a thing with pointing out the obvious.
    I wasn't interested  in moving closer towards them but I got a hard shove from Paula that almost got me landing on my face. I turn and give her a deadly glare and she smiles sheepishly  at me.
    Dad introduces Paula and I to them 'These are my daughters Paula and Stella'. The unknown woman looks at Paula confused, I mean both  mum and dad are both blondes how did a brunette  add up the equation. Dad ignores her confused look besides  he wasn't going to tell them Paula was adopted since her parents died in a crash.
    I found out the woman's name was Serena and her husband Antonio. She smiles at me and Paula ' hello  dears it's nice to meet you both' it was then I noticed the boy as if she saw me looking at him "well he is my son, his name is Alex and he is 10. You will be seeing each other more often since you're going to be in the same school, I hope its not going yo be much of a problem yo be Friends  right?"
    I wanted to say I didn't like him ont bit but since it was better to be polite I nodded.
   " mmm... not a problem"  I'll agree with Paula, Alex was cute but I wasn't going to admit that. I didn't like the way my parents were already getting fond of him. I saw Alex's younger sister she should be the same age with mu sister Luz. She looked friendly and I had a good feeling about her.
     "You must be Summer?" She looks at me and smiles, " yes I'm Alex's younger sister it's nice to meet neighbours  that are not boys I hope we can be friends?" 
     It would be nice to have a new face around so I decided to welcome her as a friend " sure we can be friends, I'll introduce you to my sister Luz you would make good friends  with her"   she squealed happily at my reply, I saw Alex walking towards us with a frown.
   "Happy huh? Now I have more girls to deal with"  okay Alex or whatever his name  is not nice and it's good to know I sensed nothing good from him.
   "Stay away Alex" he walks away snickering at his younger sister the situation makes me sigh. So he was the annoying type of I just hope this new change won't affect my life.

     Phew finally I'm done with the first chapter.
