Mabel felt sick to her stomach due to the tension in the room and excused herself into the hallway making up some excuse that she'd dropped something. Joes mum gave her an odd look sensing something was wrong, but she decided to just leave it and ask her about it later.

Mabel stood in the hallway with her back against the blush coloured wall, she allowed her legs to give way as she slid down against it until she was now sat on the floor. Mabel pulled her knees to her chest sighing heavily, trying to process all her emotions without crying. Mabel's head snapped round as she heard the door open and she scurried to her feet to remain normal.

"Relax, it's only me" Kristen smiled sympathetically. Mabel sighed in relief and returned to her earlier position upon the cold floor.

"Mabel what happened, you were gone for ages and then you walked in there and you looked like you saw a ghost" Kristen stated now sitting beside her.

"Joe and I" Mabel choked out. "We slept together, and we were on our way up to talk to Beau to be honest about everything, you know come completely clean and now that's all just ruined" At this point Mabel couldn't help the tears flowing down her face, she looked at Kristen who's expression was soft. "I know, I hate me too. I'm an awful person. I was stupid for thinking things would go back to normal." she sobbed harder. Kristen shook her head at the girl sobbing on the floor and pulled her into a side hug.

"You're not stupid Mabel, this has been a weird week to say the least." She sighed. "What did Joe say about it all?"

"He asked me to go to Atlanta with him in 2 days, which definitely isn't going to happen now" Mabel sighed gathering her emotions. "He didn't want his parents meeting her because it would mean it was over for us, is this what this is? Is it over? Why are they here?" Mabel groaned hitting the back of her head off the wall.

"Beau seems to think it's Joe's way of saying he's over his ex- well you- she thinks he invited them to prove himself to her. However it sounds like they're here because they knew you two were here together and wanted to surprise you. Which they definitely did" Kristen chuckled. "You should have seen his mums face when beau introduced herself as Joe's girlfriend, I thought we were going to have to call the paramedics- I swear her heart stopped" she continued laughing, Mabel joining in too.

"Oh god I shouldn't laugh but I can just imagine it" Mabel said wheezing from laughing. Kristen and Mabel were now leaning into each other laughing until the door opened and Joe popped his head round to face the girls. His face fell when he noticed Mabel's make up smeared down her face and her eyes red. Mabel mouthed a "I'm fine" shaking her head and he sighed returning inside the room, she overheard Joe talking to everyone in the room making up some bullshit excuse that he was going to grab her suitcase to take it to her suite as she 'wasn't feeling well'. She also heard Beau whine that she hadn't seen Joe all day, asking why Mabel couldn't get it herself, Mabel smiled widely hearing Joe scoff and speak.

"I never said she couldn't do it herself, I'm just helping her because I can Beau. I'll be back soon" he sighed returning into the hallway with Mabel's suitcase in hand. Kristen looked at the pair and stood up sighing as the door closed.

"Can you two sort whatever this is please. I understand it's complicated but the last thing I need to do is pick up after it all falls apart." She muttered "The drinking nearly ruined you last time Mabel, so just be careful" she added looming at Mabel who shut her eyes in frustration at Kristen's comment. "I'm going to take everyone out for a late lunch so you have approximately 2 hours to sort your story out. Please remember Beau is a human with feelings, whatever you do just, be mindful of that." Kristen added looking between Mabel and Joe who were sharing awkward glances. She shooed them down the hall and headed back into Mabel's old room to tell everyone the lunch plans.
