Epilogue part one

One year later

"I feel sick" mabel groaned pacing back and forth, the sound of the fabric rubbing against itself upon her dress filling her ears.

"That's normal" Jess chuckled.

"Yeah don't you remember she literally threw up before her wedding" Kristen laughed looking at Jess.

"You both basically poured a whole bottle of champagne down my throat at 9am, before I had a chance to eat." Jess groaned glaring at Kristen.

Jess and Jamie had gotten married on Halloween a year ago, they had the most punk rock elegant wedding Mabel had ever seen. However right now Mabels mind was running through all the scenarios that could go wrong as her hands subconsciously smoothed her dress out for the millionth time.

"It's just nerves Mabel" Kristen sighed holding her hands to stop her from continuing to rub the fabric.

"What if he doesn't like the dress?" Mabel asked.

"He'll love the dress" Jess yelled. "Stop being an idiot Mabel Mae" she scolded.

Mabel sighed and looked at her reflection in the mirror, overthinking every inch of her body, wishing more than anything her mother was here to see this. Her face fell and she looked to Kristen, Kristen immediately knowing what she was thinking.

"She's be proud of you" she smiled softly. As the girls started chatting again about future plans a knock came to the door making Mabel's head whip around.

"It's just us" Jamie called entering the room with Joe's parents. "Apparently neither of us 3 have any patience and just had to see you" he smiled. His heart wanted to explode at the sight before him, Mabel's dress leaving his speechless.

"Aren't you a sight for sore eyes" he muttered walking over to Mabel and spinning her softly. She smiled widely at him before looking to Joe's parents, his mother already sobbing while his dad reminds her she can't ruin her make up before pictures.

"Oh Mabel, you look wonderful" she blubbered giving her a hug. Mabel's eyes welled up at the sight of Joe's mum crying, she'd basically become her own mother over these past years, every thing she did, she was right there supporting her.

"Right" joes dad announced. "It's time" he smiled softly walking over to Mabel and taking her arm. Mabel took a deep breath in and exhaled every worry she'd had over the past few hours of getting ready, all she knew for now was she was marrying Joe and that's all that mattered.

As the entered the hall way to the library Mabel gripped tighter to Joe's dads arm in fear she'd trip over her dress.

"I've got you" he chuckled holding her tighter.

Mabel looked from the bottom of the aisle up to Joe who was standing there, his lips curled up into a smile, his eyes welling up with tears as he watched her make her to him. Mabel looked around at the venue, she'd known from the second they got engaged that her wedding venue would be a library, one big enough for everyone, lined up and down with books and fairy lights. It was their thing. Her eyes met Joe's again and hers matched his look of undeniable love and passion. His dad handed her arm over to Joe and smiled softly nodding his head, his eyes full of proudness for this opportunity.

Half way into the ceremony it was time for their vows.

"Mabel Mae, every single day I wake up and I see your face looking back at me, and every single day I feel like I can take on the world. Everything you do leaves me speechless and in awe of you, every single thing somehow topping the last. The beginning of our relationship was rocky and full of a lot of challenges, but it ensured that if we could somehow find each other again after all of that, it was a sign we were meant to me. Now we're here today, standing right here together, and I know we've made it, it's only the beginning my love, we've got so much more to do. Every night you ask me to make sure that you die first, because you don't want a world without me. However Mabel Mae I am selfish and I truly don't want a world without you either" he said his vows with so much love and attention, Mabel didn't even notice she had started crying until Kristen threw a pack of tissues at her, which made the guests laugh.
