I rolled over with a groan, shielding my eyes from the sunlight. I was met with a hand running over my hair. I slowly looked up to see Ekko, sitting in a chair beside me, his leg bouncing anxiously.
"I thought you'd never wake up" He let out a sigh of relief.
"How long was I out" I groaned as I sat up.
"Damn near a day. When you didn't wake up this morning, I started to get worried" He said as he got up.
I looked around me, examining the environment. I was in his house on the couch.
"H-how did you know where I was?" I asked him.
He hesitated and stopped what he was doing. He sighed and walked over to me.
"Here" He said, giving me a rusted cup of water.
I held my nose and drank it before sitting the cup down and sitting back with a sigh.
"I uh...I followed you. I thought you'd go out looking for them." He looked away from me.
"Of course you did" I groaned.
"Do you remember anything from yesterday" Ekko asked as he sat down beside me.
"I remember messing with Silco's shipment...and seeing my dad...and...I" I sighed as flashbacks from the day before ran through my head.
KILL HER
WEAK
SUFFERSomething's words echoed in my head. I groaned slightly and pinched the bridge of my nose.
"Hey, you ok?" Ekko asked as he perked up, wrapping an arm around me.
"I...I don't" I rubbed my temple and sighed. I looked him in the eyes. "It just...keeps getting worse. It won't stop. It told me to kill her and...I almost did it."
"Do you think...that's why your desire to go after them gets so strong" He asked. I only shrugged.
Ekko looked away from me and stared at the floor. He began tapping on his knee and looked as if he had gotten lost in thought.
I gently grabbed his arm and stared at him, getting his attention. "You think I'm crazy...don't you? Like her"
Ekko only looked at me for a moment before speaking. "I think...you've been through a lot and you just need to rest."
"That doesn't answer my question" I said.
He chuckled and shook his head. "No, I don't think you're crazy, Scar."
I felt myself getting upset and continued to pry. "Tell me the truth, no lying. You said you'd never lie. Was that a lie too-"
"Scarlett" Ekko interrupted calmly, knowing my rambling would only get worse. He grabbed both sides of my face and stared into my eyes. "I'm not lying, nor have I ever lied. Stay with me...ok?"
I didn't say anything, I only continued staring at him, allowing my gaze to soften as it took in the wonders of his face. There was no annoyance or burdened expressions, only patience...and love.
Ekko gently let go of my face and cleared his throat, breaking our contact.
"Oh by the way" he started as he stood up. "We got word that Jinx has gone a little crazy...well crazier than usual...apparently she blew up a tent in Piltover, killed a couple of enforcers. And guess what?"
