Walking in the dark streets is really creepy, especially when you're alone. My body was shivering and my lips are chapped because of the windy breeze. But what you didn't know is that I was crying all the way because of a pain that caused by someone I loved.

My tears were quickly dried when the wind hit through my face, but I was still crying no matter how hard it is to let go of the pain. I continue to walk in this creepy street until I feel my legs weakened. I was already tired, so I found a bench near a tall tree.

I sat there by myself, the wind still blowing too hard at night. I felt a vibration on my pocket and it's a text from my mom.

From: Mom

Where are you now, Nikki? Your dad and I have been so worried about you

To: Mom

I'm almost there, mom, no need to worry. Sorry if I didn't come home so early, I was having a lot of problems to deal with

From: Mom

What kind of problems, is it about your projects in school?

To: Mom

Yeah, something like that

From: Mom

Okay, just be home right now, I don't want you to get harm when it's late at night

To be honest, I lied to her. It wasn't the projects in school at all, the reason why I went home at this time is because of my boyfriend, which I gladly considered as ex-boyfriend.

"Hey," I hear a man's voice said.

I turn my head to the side and I see a man sitting beside me wearing a jacket with a hood covering his face. I felt relieved that I covered my mouth and nose with a mask, even my hair that almost covered my face.

I was perplexed and didn't know what to do," Who are you?"

I see his smile at me and said," Is that how you say hello to a person?"

"No, because I don't talk to strangers," I said, getting a little bit angry.

His smile fades and looks away," Okay, I understand that."

The awkward silence came and it felt uncomfortable. I hate sitting next to strangers 'cause they make me look weird. I'm a weirdo in school actually, but that only happens whenever the situation is awkward.

"By the way, why are you here by yourself?"

I paused for a while and sighed," I'm just taking a rest, my legs feel very weak so I couldn't stand it anymore and rested for a while in here."

"I could carry you at my back" He recommended.

I shook my head," No need, I think my legs are better. I should get going now," I tell him and stood up, but he caught my arm.

"Don't," He pleaded," I'm not going to let you walk all the way home, it's too dangerous for you to be alone tonight. Please, I'll take you home instead."

Damn, I can't just say no to him. He's right, a girl like me can't be alone at this dangerous night," Okay, as long as you're not gonna hurt me."

"No I won't, I'm not like those guys you used to think," He denies and I just nod at him.

My home wasn't far to reach from here, so I only have 3 minutes to get there by walking. When we reached to my place I turn around to face him and he was already smiling.

"Um, thanks for taking me home though."

"It's my pleasure to do that, I'll see you soon," And he kisses my cheek before he walks away. I was left standing there holding my cheek that turned pink.

Wow, that was a nice encounter.
