Chapter 4: Love without conditions

Nikki's POV

I had a long chat with Ethan for the whole night about his love story with Kendall and how it ended so badly that their love was wasted. Nathan enjoyed the long chat most of the time while I was just sitting there looking so bored that I need to go upstairs and talk to my cousin on Skype. Do I need to listen a lot from Ethan's story? I already heard from it since lunch time.

Ethan hasn't even shut his mouth for a couple of hours now and Nathan is still not bored yet, I can still see his genuine smile from across. Ugh. Somebody please help me get out of this living room, I only have few minutes left to live.

We heard a doorbell rang and finally I was saved by the bell. Thank goodness the long chat is over.

"I'll get it," I yelled out loud as I open the door and saw my parents... smooching again. Ew!

I angrily sighed," Mom, Dad, will you please stop kissing at the wrong moment?" I tell them and they parted away.

Mom just laughed at me and said," I'm so sorry, Nik, I know you're still struggling to get over with that Jared guy."

"I know that and I brought a handsome guest," I excitedly said. Saying the word 'handsome' made them feel more excited than me and my heart.

I step out of the way as they get in and I closed the door. Both of them were surprised that it was no ordinary boy in my school.

Mom glanced at me with a genuine smile and then to Ethan," I'd never expect that my daughter would meet a 'handsome' man like you."

"Ehehe yeah I did," I said, biting my lower lip.

Great, another one hour of long chat with Ethan I thought.

Before mom could say anything to me I spoke first," If you're inquiring me to sit on the couch and have a long chat with my friend then it's absolutely no. I feel so tired right now and I need to sleep."

"Okay sweetie, good night!"

"Good night Nikki!" Nathan and dad said in unison.

"Yeah good night," I said sarcastically.

I looked at Ethan and waited for him to say anything," Good night, Nikki, and have a beautiful sleep."

I curved my lips, forming into a smile," Yeah, same to you, Ethan," And I go upstairs towards my room.

I went to my bedroom and turned on my laptop, followed by opening up my Skype account. I really hope my cousin Shane is still online, my day wouldn't be complete without talking to him. He was my first cousin that turned into my best friend, he always listens and understands what I feel and gives me advice whenever I have problems.

I squealed like a retard when I found out he's still online, so I press the video call button. After a minute his face pops out on my screen, flashing a polite smile.
