-Max-
Max exchanged a glance with Fang. They came to a silent agreement that Storm would have to stay. Just one more freak, right?
"Yeah, you'll have to stay until further notice." She said and watched Storm extend her long wings. They looked roughly about 16 feet across. Like two feet longer than Max's. She heard Fang whistle and shot him a glance. A flash of white and his quick grin was gone.
"How come your wings are so long?" Max finally asked with a huff. Storm had sat and was sunning her wings in the sunset.
"If you haven't noticed, I'm bulkier than you lot. My whole flock is. So we have a tad bit longer wings, makes it easier to hold the extra weight."
Max thought this over. Then she had another question. "Why are you, er, bulkier?"
"I'm pretty sure it's because we have a lot of muscle being as we are more human." Storm shrugged. "I'm not for sure."
-Fang-
He watched as Max got too interested. Fang decided to break that bond.
"Hey," he said and walked beside Max. "How's your fighting? We never got to see it." Fang looked at Max. She gave a small nod, obviously approving his plan. Know her battle skills and beat her if needed. Storm stood. "I could use a good sparring." She stood, stretched, and looked at Fang with no emotion. He looked at her before turning and jumping off, quickly unfurling his dark wings. Fang flew silently in the air and turned, waiting for Storm.
-Storm-
I smiled on the inside, but I had decided to not show feelings or secrets until I knew it was time. Shaking off any thoughts, I hurled myself off. With a few strokes of my powerful wings, I was facing Fang. "Ready to get beat?" I asked with a bit of sass in my voice, another quirk. He smirked before putting his hand out, formal greeting?
I looked at him hand and cast the smallest glance at the cave mouth. His whole flock was gathered and watching, well except for the pale one, Iggy, who could probably hear every stroke of my wings. Then I looked back at Fang. "Sorry, but I'm not a trustworthy person of handshakes. Might be a trap." I said with my arms crossed. Fang lowered his hand and gave another smirk. "Okay, then let's start this."
Before I could comprehend, Fang flew at me. But before he could hit me, I ducked and grabbed his legs making him lose altitude quickly. Fang shook me off and landed a kick on my chest. I huffed out any air and couldn't get it back quick enough. Fang threw a punch that narrowly missed my face. I gasped. "Head wounds bleed...A LOT!" I yelled as I grabbed Fang's wrist and kicked him, hard, in the stomach. Fang made an 'oof' sound and dropped a bit. I looked down at him and was about to round house kick him in the neck before I caught a glance of something blue below. Water. Grinning like a crazy person, I folded my wings in and dropped like a stone past Fang.
-Max-
Max watched as Storm fell. "What the..?" She wondered.
-Fang-
He huffed and prepared for defeat, he wasn't really fighting his hardest. All he needed was her skills so he could find her weaknesses. But he was confused when she dropped past him. Fang didn't know what was happening with Storm. He watched for a bit before descending after her.
