Along For The Ride

What's to Come

-Storm-
Her head exploded with pain, jolting her from her sleep. As she tried not to die, she realized she was being cuddled and she herself was latched on to someone. Storm quickly released the arm and scooted from the other person's grasp. She squinted and failed to scoot farther into the wall being as her wing (which she slept with unfurled) was pinned under a warm body. Through her blurry and spotted vision she saw two figures squatting next to her. One was freeing her wing, while the other was touching her leg in reassurance. With a fresh wave of piercing pain, Storm sunk into unconsciousness.
-Max-
The flock was up besides Angel, Gazzy, and Total (who weren't near the commotion). Nudge looked freaked. Iggy was tense. Fang stared at Max. And Max just stared at Storm. "What the hell?" Fang finally asked. "No idea..." Max huffed. Iggy sat up, still tense. "Calm down, Ig. Everything's okay." Max said and tapped his shoe lightly. He relaxed a little. "W-was she hugging me?" He asked. Fang snickered and Max rolled her eyes. "I'm rolling my eyes Ig." He scowled and Nudge smiled shyly. "I was laying on her wing." She yawned. Fang ruffled her hair. "It's okay Nudge. Why don't you get more sleep." He said. Nudge nodded bleakly and yawned again. She scooted over to Angel and cuddled next to her. Soon she was fast asleep.

"So, I wonder what happened.." He asked Max, who still stared at Storm. He tapped her shoulder. "Yo, Max?" She jumped and looked at him. "Oh sorry, I was zoning out." Fang stroked her hair. "You should sleep." He whispered. Max leaned against him. "Yeah, but I want to make sure Storm is okay." She said. Fang scratched the spot between Max's wings. "Ig and I will be awake." He said. Max scoffed. "Oh yeah, that's perfect." She said sarcastically. He flashed a grin. "Fine.." Max sighed with a yawn. Soon she was out cold too.
-Storm-
Storm was sleeping deeply. Her body was anyways. Inside her head, she was completely awake. 'What the hell?' She thought. Storm was trying to wake up, but she couldn't. When she tried to open her eyes all she saw was black. Then pain exploded in her head. Storm wanted to hold her head, but she couldn't. Suddenly a loud ringing formed in her head. It grew louder and louder every second. Storm just wanted to scream. Then the noise died to a static and behind the static noise was gibbering and whispering. Storm strived to hear what it was saying. She was able to pull out three sentences.
"You have been compromised..."
"Storm is to be decommissioned..."
"Send him..."
Then Storm jolted awake, one sentence on her lips. She turned to Fang, who was holding Max.
"He's coming."
