-Max-
Max watched as Storm flew above the cave. She cast a glance at the dripping wet Fang. "Well..." Max started, "she's, uh, different than anything else we've stumbled onto.."
Fang nodded. Max started to pace. "I wonder who made her, because apparently her scientists don't like the asshats that created us." Fang looked at her, listening. "I also want to know how she can do that." Max gestured to the still shaky water below. Fang pushed Max to the edge of the cliff. "Well go find out, I'll stay down here and dry off." He muttered. Max looked at him and looked back at the flock to see if they were watching. Once everything was clear, Max kissed Fang's cheek and jumped off the ledge.
-Storm-
Storm sat looking at the wavy water below. She huffed. It was weird being a freaky freak. She pinched herself and laughed bitterly. "What are you doing?" She asked herself. "You're a soldier, don't get soft." Storm ordered. She tensed when she heard flapping. A moment later Max was standing near her, hands on hips. "What's up?" Max asked.
-Max-
She waited for a response as she sat down next to Storm. Storm looked at her and said, "I stunned you guys more than I wanted too." Max shrugged, a thing she did a lot. "We're over it, but now I have a butt load of questions." Storm looked at her, waiting.
"Well, first, how the heck do you do that water thingy?" Max asked and mentally wanted to smack herself. Water thingy? Really?! Storm smiled a bit. "I don't know much, but I'm pretty sure the white coats enhanced our brain. Made us able to access more of it. But only a slight amount." She shrugged, thinking. "I'd say kinda like telepathy. My family can talk with each other in our minds, but only us. I can't read your mind or anything."
'Good,' Max thought. 'The last thing I need is another Angel.'
"Okay," Max said out loud. "But how do you do the water stuff?"
Storm fiddled with a rock. " I assume telepathy again. They made it so we could control things, but it is really hard to not overwhelm your brain. So they chose for us to only control one thing. The elements. I can't create water, only control it. My flock members control the other three elements." Storm threw the rock.
Max sat and soaked in all the knowledge. "I would guess that process was really hard..?" She asked.
"Oh yeah, painstakingly hard. Only a select few survived..." Storm grew silent. Max decided to move on. "So your scientists, do they have a name?" Storm glared at nothing. "Nope. I don't know anything. We were forced to call them all 'Sir' or 'Ma'am'." Storm spit. "Plus I only actually saw my flock, never other experiments. Uh, alive anyways. So I only know a bit. I know that we would be taken and tested on before coming back in rough shape and with no damn memory." The wind had started to pick up and both the girls' hair started to whip. Max stood up. "How about lets go into the cave, we'll sort more things out in the morning." She offered a hand.
-Storm-
Storm looked at her hand and smiled softly. "Thanks." She took Max's hand. Storm stood with Max and then stepped away from her so she could unfurl her wings. Together they flew back to the cave and settled. This day was over.
