.Lord Andrew Charles Howard is one of those charming rogues and he is totally charming but Lady Karissa would be the one to tell him he is about as charming as a snake.

"Lord Andrew Charles Howard. You have the personality of a snake. They are both deadly and poisonous and you don't realize it. " Karissa tells him.

"Don't you find me a little charming?" Lord Andrew Charles asks her.

"I won't deny it, Lord Andrew Charles. You are very handsome and charming." Karissa tells him "but don't let it get to your head."

"Why are you so impossible?" Lord Andrew Charles asks Karissa.

"I may seem impossible to you, Lord Andrew Charles, but I am not as impossible as you are." Karissa tells him.

"There must be something that you want?" Lord Andrew Charles asks her.

"I want a lot of things, Andrew Charles Howard but that doesn't mean I will get them." Karissa states, "I wasn't born a runny nose spoiled aristocrat with a golden spoon stuck up my derriere."

"I will make you my Duchess if you marry me." Lord Andrew Charles tells her.

"Now why would I want to become a Duchess or aristocrat?" Karissa asks Lord Andrew Charles.

"I don't come with a dowry, and I wasn't born into either an aristocratic or gentry family." Karissa tells Lord Andrew Charles.

"I don't want to marry an aristocrat or into the gentry." Lord Andrew Charles tells Karissa "Look at my brothers they did and what results have they yielded and both of their wives are barren."

"Oh! You don't think your brothers could be at fault and they are shooting blanks." Karissa asks.

"My first cousin Lord David William Beck told my father that my brothers were fertile as stud bulls." Lord Andrew Charles tells Karissa.

"I do think your brothers are too old to believe in the stork." Karissa tells him "They are older than you. No stork is going to come down and place a baby at their doorstep."

"What the devil does that high price parochial school that you all attended. It didn't teach you biology." Karissa states, "Or is it just like Radcliffe University."

"The parochial school we attended had a lot of dull, dry, subjects that most of us just muddled through." Lord Andrew Charles tells Karissa.

"The classes may have been dull, but you could have learned something from them." Karissa tells him.

"I see when they passed out brains you thought they said trains and you missed yours." Karissa tells Lord Andrew Charles with a laugh.

"What I want I doubt you could give me on the first try." Karissa tells him "It is not any material."

"Try me.' Lord Andrew Charles tells Karissa.

"No. It is too personal to share with you, Lord Andrew Charles. It would involve us getting together in an intimate way." Karissa tells him.

"What I want would create you Duke of Norfolk Territory and I won't be a part of that as I told your father." Karissa states.

Lord Andrew Charles looks at her " I know what you are referring too."

"I am sure that you do." Karissa tells him " But I won't place any of my children in that position."

"Furthermore, the only way I would even consider marrying any man is if that man can guarantee my daughter on the first try or no deal." Karissa explains.

"No man can guarantee any woman as no man can guarantee himself a son on the first try." Lord Andrew Charles states, "It is a matter of luck."

"I would rather say divine providence." Karissa tells him.
