Chapter 11

I'm back and not dead. so here's a short update 

"Oh, a customer! The store's closed for the day but you're always welcome! You're my first regulars after all. You know I never see you two without the other. Who's that with you?" She turned around stopping whatever she was doing.

"She's the Vice Guild leader of the vigilante guild. Her alias is Paladin." Gong-ja stated it as calmly as possible. Her jaw went slack and her glasses nearly fell off.

"The vice guild leader of the vigilante guild." She dropped to the floor bowing down screaming bloody murder as if she was going to get killed.

Gong-ja got on one knee and explained the situation clearing up the misunderstanding.

"You're an angel!" No he is not. this just helps us in the long run. She dragged on how she isn't worthy of us and how we have helped her so much.

"Excuse me. Except for that man, I would like everyone to step out. This old man wishes to quietly have a talk with him" This will be fun.

"Hello sword saint." I put on my biggest smile and face him.

"Sword saint? what business do you have here." Paladin questioned and they started going down a anger filled spiral . 

Gong-ja looked at me. Although his face seem neutral I can feel that he wants to ask so many questions. That would be understandable since I sort of took his plan and ran with it. I guess I also been suspicious for a while now. He hasn't done anything to me or doubted me which is confusing me. I guess that makes two of us.

"I will stop you, even if it cost me my life."

"Do you truly think you can stop me?"

"No, I do not. But I will fight you with all I have, and I will die doing so. And the moment I die you will be nothing more than a scummy murderer that killed an innocent person."

Sword saints weakness is his morals. He's weak to innocent people. Although I too am innocent in his eyes since I haven't killed myself or anyone else by my hands. I am seen with Gong-ja all the time. I could be his accomplice in his crimes which I guess isn't wrong. Paladin on the other hand is a well known figure whos trustworthy and she hasn't killed a single person. 

As a back up there's me and the alchemist who also have 0 kills. 

"Babylon doesn't have laws like the outside world But I wont forgive you for laying a hand on my customer even if you are the sword saint."

"I've been with Kim gong-ja for a month and he has done nothing wrong for you to be behaving like this." I find this hilarious since in the past you asked him to be your grandson in law.

"Today isn't the day." His grip on his sword faltered as he walked away. 

Nudging Gong-ja whos beside me. He raised his eyebrows. Sometimes he can be an idiot. Making a motion with my hand similar to that of a pencil and paper. You can almost see the light turn on in his head as he ran out of the door. He screamed at the sword saint to meet him In a location to prove himself. 

Paladin ended up requesting potion and me and Gong-ja were on our way.  I told Gong-ja everything he need to say and that all he need to do is convince him to give gong-ja 5 days of observation. 

"But if he's gonna watch over me wont he also watch over you since we are always together."

" I don't mind if it means its another death not on the record."

We carried on with the plan but went our separate ways. I went to the plaza while he went to the sword saint. As the fake goddess appeared did her lines allowing us to teleport to the next floor. Since I didn't get dizzy or go back to the past he must of succeed.
