Chapter 24

The guild masters waved us down once we arrived at the cafe. It was only them and very few employees so I guessed they had cleared the shop for our meeting.

Hersey was putting on a joyous mask like always. "Didn't think you would actually manage to clear up to floor 20 in 5 days! " Yes...  Totally in 5 days and not a year and a few days. "This is the greatest breakthrough since the inception of the tower. You both have my respect. I guess we should be calling you two by your new names now huh?"

We finally sat down and continued to converse. "The NPCs thought we were enemies that intruded on the palace! Because of that, the guards and knights came after us." 

The topic changed to about us. "So should I take this as you wanting to treat Hades and Persophone as one of us?"

"You guys wouldn't know but those two were instrumental in our advancement inside the tower. During the raid, we ended up with zero casualties. Let's not forget how many hunters were present on floor 11. I want to make these two the heroes that represent our tower." 

I  leaned to my left towards Gong-ja and used a hand to cover my mouth to prevent lip reading. You never know with these guys. "With all that we did shouldn't we be treated like gods? I mean our titles are named after literal gods." Gong-ja silently snickered and his shoulders visibly shook. It only lasted three seconds before he managed to compose himself again.

"Countess is too greedy, Inquisitor killed too many people Paladin doesn't like attention and as for viper, you're... I'm sorry. You're too ugly." Viper's mouth gaped and only air came out. "Sword saint is only obsessed with the sword and I work too much in the shadows." She paused for a moment before turning her head to us. "On the other hand, these two have no public image yet."

Inquisitor mentioned about sales drop and how they were fine with us being the face before rattling off questions to us, getting handsy, and a little too close for comfort. "Gong-ja's short but we can just photoshop that. (y/n) may need to get new clothes if she's gonna be the face. What about past relationships? Are you guys dating anyone?" He gasped. "Are you guys dating?" 

I laughed and smiled before taking Gong-ja's hand into mine. "We are and I'll kill anyone who dares to challenge me for him." Gong-ja gave me an Are you crazy look before Inquisitor smiled and said "It seems you have a crazed yandere in your hands." (Fun fact I just found out apparently there is no Korean term for yandere and they just borrow the word for Japanese.)  

Countess piped up with her fan in her face. "It might be a good thing you two are dating since it will help avoid weird rumors and help sell magazines. But (y/n) looks clash with Gong-ja's normal appearance but oh well." She released a sigh when she finished. "(Y/n) is a goddess when she stands next to you." 

I laughed and fanned my hand to her. "But next to you, I look like a peasant." This went on till Viper snaped at us saying he was gonna throw up.
