Chapter 17

Fair warning I'm too lazy to go back and change the system again in past chapters but I am updating how the system is used to make the reader more OP in future chapters.

"I'm thinking about naming my spear minutes."

"Why would you name it that?" We were walking back to the devil to get our butts handed to us. Time unmoving.

"Well, your sword is like the hour hands on a clock. Because my spear is longer wouldn't it be the minute hand in this case." 

The sword master had a grimace on his face. "That's a terrible name. Minutes. there are better names out there for a spear." Altering his voice to be higher pitch trying to mock me.

"Such as?" Dragging the words on as I cross my arms. 

"Devastation. Legacy. Brutal prick. Void skewer."

" I'm about to skewer you, you damn prick." With that sentence. I waved my spear around like a stick. It felt like I was swatting at a fly. I wasn't intentionally trying to hurt him. How dare I try and hurt the comedic relief. 

Gong-ja just laughed at us. Finally, he has someone to share this pain with. He doesn't have to bare the ghost's insults by himself anymore. Yeah well, I just turned my attention to him and it was his turn to be the fly. 

"Remember this is the spear of the flame emperor who killed you before."

 We all continued to run screaming with smiles on our faces. 

Face to face with the devil Gong-ja laughed.

"Why do you laugh?" The ink's voice sounded glitchy or muddy. 

"Because I'm happy." Even I was confused.

"Does dieing here bring you happiness?"

"Sort of. I get to die next to the person I love again and again." Hold up. 

The devil raised his sword and hit us with it. Every time we die we put up a better fight. When a strike of ink headed in my direction I was prepared for impact. I wasn't expecting a glass to shatter when I felt no pain.

"(Y/N) are you ok? I know you two requested us to stay but I couldn't sit back anymore."

Joining us angered the devil and goblins and orcs formed from the ink. This is just sending me bad memories of that one orc king. 

"Gong-ja it might be a good time to use that skill." My voice rose and nearly squeaked.

"You told me to save that skill." 

"I told you to save it because that skill will help us win. We are going to win this now. "

Nodding his head in my direction before facing the devil and his army. one finger raised into the air. "a hundred souls summon!" On command as the skill name suggested thousands of skeletons rose from nothing.

The higher the proficiency the more others will follow. Allows one to command armies or individuals to do ones bidding. ]

I have been acquiring skills left and right from this.  Not to mention my stats. I'm pretty sure I can run 5ks without breaking a sweat and like boulders up hills now no problem. 

"You know I was curious at first as to why you wanted me to pick this card (Y/N)." My eyes followed gong-ja. "The reason the sword saint is so weary of me."

"Where are you getting at zombie?"

"Sword saints skill tells how many I killed. I've only killed myself and the flame emperor. Two people. But why does the sword emperor skill say I've killed 4000? "

"It's because you've killed yourself." 

The black witch's mouth was agape as she looked around. "Is this your skill?" 

"You haven't seen anything yet." They all turned to me. I've been discovering more and more about the system. The system is like a video game system. There are two ways to get skills. Do something over and over again till one is generated or buy them from the shop that I found which is unlocked due to lvls. Thinking of this situation I've bought a few skills.

"Oh, great domain!" Upon my burst, aura radiated off of me. A nearly transparent building took shape. If one was to describe it it would be an empty hall of a cathedral. The baron ground lacked vegetation now sprouted grass and flowers only stopping feet away from the outside of the domain.

Other: Enhance the growth and removes debuffs. Allows the user to peer into the future in one-minute intervals every 2 minutes.

Every time Gong-ja or the others got hit they would immediately recover as long as it isn't an instant death. I yelled out commands based on what I see.

It was only a matter of time till the devil retreated. All the floors from 12-19 were revised and a hidden quest was given to us.
