Will:

Thinking about what I just have told this group, knowing that I may trust them to hold this secret with them is definitely something to think hard about. Not that it's really anything to hide, but it seems that I shouldn't be telling them it, like he doesn't want them to know.. What if-

"Will?" I snap out of my "trance" to see Mike tapping my shoulder.
"You were very spaced out again, are you okay?" He asks me.

"Oh, Yes! I'm- I'm fine" I smile at him.

"Hey, I have an idea.." Lucas says, looking eager to say his thought.
Everyone looks at him and the room fills with, "yes?" and "what is it Lucas?"

"Maybe.. we should visit Max in the hospital tomorrow, you know? Just to see here as a group. I've been going every day, but it would be nice for the whole group to go?"

"That's a great idea, Lucas," El says, smiling, yet looking sad at the same time, "I would love to see her, I really do miss my Max,"

Everyone else nods in response of Lucas' and El's words, and I nod as well.

"Oh! it's almost 8?" Mom jumps up. "We should probably call it quits, we can all meet up here tomorrow if you all would like?" She smiles sweetly.
"Great, Thanks Ms. Byers!" Nancy says, waving to El and Me.

I say bye to the rest of the gang but Mike stays behind even after we waved to each other and even though Nancy walked out of the door, probably waiting in the car.

I turn around to see him standing close to me, with a stern face on.

"Oh! Mike, don't you have to go?" I ask, staring into his eyes.

"I wanted to see how you're feeling, and I noticed you looked disgusted when I sat by El, what's wrong? Did I do something?"

My heart sinks.

"Oh.. uh, yeah I was just um.. stressed about the Vecna thing, you know?" I say quickly.

"Oh, okay, well i'll see you tomorrow, hope you feel better will." Mike waves goodbye, and I do too as he leaves.

I look at him longingly as he walks away towards Nancy's car. The way I want to run up to him and hug him, but I just can't do that.
I close the door as I can't see Mike anymore, gone into the woods and the sunset as he makes his way back to his perfect home.

I walk to my room and close the door behind me, feeling the wooden floor below my feet shake as I do. I pull out my painting i've been working on, and begin to add more and more details to the drawing outline of a person I thought I once knew, painted softly on the crisp paper, tossing all my feelings into one picture, making the details so very accurate.
After almost fainting, I look at the time on my watch.
12:34 am.
I've been working for 4 hours? I question myself, i've totally not worked this long non-stop.
I walk over to my bed and sit down.
I need a break.
I lay down with my day clothes still on, and fall asleep thinking about happy things, trying to avoid the dream.

Falling asleep

Drifting away

Sadly falling into the place I dread the most.
