10: the bad things you have to face

Will:

The ride home is basically the WORST thing i've ever experienced in my ENTIRE life. Everyone is silent, or maybe they just are to me. I can't hear anything, and I have a horrible headache. I cannot even focus.

*15 minutes later, drove back to hoppers cabin all inside now*

Sitting in the living room, I notice Mike is off.. He seems sadder than usual and he's bouncing his legs. I clear my throat to get his attention and it works. I point to my room and gesture him go in there, and somehow he understands what i'm trying to say and surely he stands up and walks to my room.
Thankfully, nobody questions that we are leaving, or going to my room.
I close the door and sit next to him, which Mike is sitting on my bed.

"Mike.. I.. I know something's up, do you mind telling me what happened?" I ask him, worried.

"El dumped my ass."

My eyes widen, and my eyebrows raise.

"She WHAT?" I ask, trying not to yell.

"She told me she's not ready for a relationship, and broke up with me."

Mike rests his head in the palms of his hand which are resting on top of his legs which are bouncing, he's clearly stressed, and nervous.

"Mike.. I.. I'm so sorry, I'm here if you want to talk more.." I suggest, looking at him.!

"Thank you, Will.. Was I not good enough for her?"

"Mike.. It's not about you.. I'm sure if it, I mean she was in the lab most of her life and kind of just got into a relationship right away so.. I wouldn't be ready to be in a relationship with you either if that were my case.."

WAIT. HOLY SHIT THAT SOUNDED WRONG, WAIT WHAT IF HE-

Mike looks at me, confused.

"Nono, that's not what I meant.. I uh.. I meant like in her shoes, If I were her.. not-"

"Yeah, I know what you mean.." Mike says, as he tilts his head to the side.

"Can I show you something? Ive been working on another painting and I..I kind of want to show you." I get up and grab the painting from the canvas and hand it to Mike.
