— VEGAS.
I looked out at the window for the fifth time now, Pete noticed and followed my gaze as I clenched my jaw. Venice insisted he wanted to have McDonald's for this day. It was a Sunday and he just got back from the main house.
I had bodyguards all around the place in this fastfood restaurant. I wasn't blind nor farsighted, I could see my men fighting off people. Seriously? Do these men never rest? I mentally sighed before glancing at Venice who was eating his chicken peacefully.
I glared at Pete. He hated this kind of food, but since our son wanted it, he convinced me it was good for us too. But no! It wasn't! I was constantly stressed for the whole morning!
Venice still didn't want to go home, he wanted to play in the park. We were rich and all, but we could never provide a safe place for Venice out in the public. I sighed and nodded, Pete gave me a peck and played with our son in the small playground.
There were other people around, I smiled seeing my son playing with people his age without bullying him. Pete was also conversing with other parents as he kept a close eye on our kid.
I suddenly remembered about Venice's situation, I booked a private appointment with Doctor Top and asked if it was possible. I told him what Pete told me, and he said it was indeed a very complicated situation, especially now that it seems Venice has complete control over it. It was more of an ability than an illness.
But having control over a monster isn't any better than not having one at all. Venice will most certainly have a hard time controlling himself if he keeps everything piled up inside right now.
I was stressing out about that when a bubble appeared in front of me. I looked at it confused. Through it, I saw Venice's enlarged face. I chuckled seeing they bought a toy.
"Phi! Let's play!" Pete lost his smile looking at me.
I groaned loudly and playfully ran towards Venice to tackle him. He's not totally wrong, and I won't force him to see me as something he doesn't think I am. If he wants me as a brother, then so be it. As long as he'll accept me as part of his life, I'll be okay with anything. Pete showed me an apologetic smile.
"I'll talk to him about this." He whispered.
I extended my arms and pulled him to my embrace. I gave him a soft kiss on his temple and slowly shook my head. "It's okay. At least he still wants to see me." I chuckled.
I just want to be part of his life.
Pete hugged me back. The two of us just watched Venice play on the sand and run around freely. Although I know there were attempts to take advantage of this time with us, I was quite confident with my men.
"Ohoooii!! I didn't know you guys go out!" Pete and I looked back at that familiar screeching voice.
"Uncle Khun!" Venice ran towards his uncle and enveloped him in a tight affectionate hug. "Look! I have a toy, Dad bought it for me." He played with Khun.
Arm walked beside us and Pete removed his hug on me. "Carry on with your sweet moment, don't mind me here." He grunted. "Careful, by the way. One of your men rang Pol and asked for backup, Khun Noo didn't want us to go alone. Guards from the main house are around, don't take your eyes off Venice." He reminded.
We knew. But how could we spoil this day for Venice? I went back to my seat earlier, Arm and Pete caught up with each other while still looking after the two playing boys. I crossed my leg and saw a familiar frame from afar, the women was covered from head to toe, but she was oddly familiar.
