"Wait." Jonathon said, turning around. "He can't come with us." He glared, pointing to Eddie.
The rest of the group spun around, eyes blank and tired."You can't come with us." Robin murmured, everyone else joining in.
"W-What..?" Eddie squinted, the sun glaring into his eyes.
"You freak! You think we'd actually let you come with us?" Steve snickered, everybody else seemed to laugh the same as him, robotic and thoughtless.
"Stop it. I know you aren't real!" Eddie yelled, and everything went dark.
"Traitor." A deep, throaty voice, resembling Vecna's voice rang in Eddie's ears before he woke up.
He opened his eyes nervously, blinking away the sleep.
He was alone, a tattered blanket throw onto Eddies legs and a pillow behind his head.
He sat up and noticed he was in somebody else's shirt, his torn up Hellfire shirt folded and placed on the bedside table next to him.Eddie stood, feeling dizzy suddenly. After waiting it out, he used the wall to steady himself. the room was empty, apart from the bed and table. He pushed open the door, finding most of the group, Lucas excluded, and leaned against the doorway as they spoke in hushed conversation.
"Look who's finally awake." Steve teased, the rest of them glancing to where Eddie stood.
"How long have I been out?" He asked quietly, looking around the room.
"You blacked out about a minute after passing through the gate." He explained, taking a sip from his mug.
"Where are we?" Eddie looked around the room, it was decorated with dull decorations and papers thrown around the place, wooden walls with small windows here and there."My place." A new voice said, it belonged to a man who emerged from the kitchen, a much smaller woman following. "I'm Jim. Jim Hopper." He nodded towards Eddie.
"Right. The police guy. I believe we've met a few times." Eddie muttered, a smile covering his face as the rest of the group shared a laugh.
"Drink?" The woman with kind eyes gestured to the cup in her hand, the others all seemed to have one as well.
"Yes, thank you. I'm Eddie, by the way." He thanked her, and she smiled softly at him.
"I'm Joyce Byers."
"Well, thank you Mrs. Byers." Eddie turned and walked passed Dustin, pushing his cap down past his face playfully, earning a scoff from his friend.
"Yeah. Well," Hopper cleared his throat, "Why is he here again?"
"He's suppose to be dead, remember? We've been through this." Mike groaned,
"Thanks for the reminder. Where's Lucas?" Eddie asked, taking a squishy seat on the couch beside Steve, shoulders touching.
"He went to see Max again." Will answered, Eddie raising his brow,
"Where's Max, then?"
"She uhh.. Vecna got her, sort of." Steve stuttered, glancing around the room at the red faces. They weren't very good at talking about these things, as proven.
"So she's alive.. right?" Eddie clenched his jaw, relaxing when they nodded.
The group explained how far they'd gotten with planning, and it wasn't very far.
They spent the whole afternoon trying to figure out how to kill Vecna, only ending up with the same plan they'd used last time over and over again."This is impossible." Robin groaned, tapping her foot on the wooden floor. "We've been sitting here all afternoon and we haven't moved from point A to point B yet."
