Chapter 6

I got past Oggie and met Mason up front.
"Brandy you look gorgeous"
"Aw...thanks" i said as we held hands walking to the place we would be eating at. when we got there a nice laddie maybe 20 asked "reservations"
"Yeah under Phonix" Mason smiled at me
"Right this way" she lead us to a nice booth that was set for 2. It was right in front of a window that showed Main street with is lights shining bright.

20 or so minuets later Mason had told me a few lines from a show some of them included "I don't under stand that reference" "the voice says I'm almost out of minuets" and "just a psycho bitch who likes to boil rabbits"
"Oh my god that sounds amazing" I laughed
"Brandy, your beautiful and I'm sorry you had to go threw what you did as a kid" Mason looked into my eyes
"Thank you" I replied, we had already paid and where just sitting in the booth talking. He reached out and grabbed my hands in his. We both leaned foward closer and closer until our lips touched, I slowly parted mine. We where interrupted by a siren of a fire truck, then 3 police cars and an ambulance.
"Is that the old nail salon" I heard a man say from out side
"Oh god" I got up and ran out the door.
Mason caught up to me and ran the rest of the way to Base, he was 4 steps behind me but when I went to run into the building he caught me by my waist
"Oggie" I screamed, in front of me was my home slowly burning.
"Brandy we'll find her, she's smart, she got out" Mason assured
"Oggie" we called
"Excuse me, was there anyone inside" Mason asked a police officer
"Our men scavenged the building, no one was in there. it started out back, some stupid kids messing with fire crackers" he said as he walked away
"Brandy, no one was in there, where would she be" Mason asked, he cupped my teary face in his hands "hay, we'll find her"
"Meeting place" I said, my eyes got wide, I turned and ran faster that i would if I was on a chase
"Brandy where are we going" Mason called from behind me
"Almost there" I whispered to myself

I ran up the stairs to the very top of the park and ride
"Oggie" I called tears streaming down my face
"Phonix" I heard a small reply
"Oh my god Oggie" I ran to her, she was covered in soot sitting on the ground, I searched for cuts or burns but she was clear
"I got out" she whispered, I held her close to me
"Are you okay" Mason caught up to us
"Ya just a bit shaken" she replied
"Well this is perfect, no suplies, no shelter" I said as we sat up
"Well my parents are always into helping people so..." Mason said
"And maybe it's time they met your girlfriend" I smiled as I helped Oggie up on her left and Mason on her right
We walked down to the bottom of the park and ride then Mason took out his phone
"Hay mom, um, can you come and pick me and 2 of my friends up at the park and ride" he asked
I couldn't really hear the reply but...
"Thanks see you in 5" he hung up and took a deep breath, "this should go well"

We all stood up as we saw a car pull up, the driver's window rolled down to reveal a woman with a very confused look
"Mom listen, this is Oggie and Brandy, they're run always from abusive homes and they lived in the old nail salon, Brandy and I where on a date but Oggie was inside when it burned down. They just need a place to stay please"
"We'll come on in" she smiled
"You need help Oggie" Mason hopped in the car then offered Oggie the window seat, he sat center seat
"Hay" he put his arm around me and kissed my head
"You say date" his mom asked, she had a perky voice, just like I always expected a mom to have
"Ya mom, she's my girlfriend" Mason said, Oggie smiled then frowned
"How long"
"2 days or so" I smiled
"By the way I'm Lily" she smiled at me and Oggie
"Phonix and Oggie" I said
"I thought-"
"She doesn't like her name" Oggie giggled
"Okay...well here we are home sweet home" she smiled as she opened her door, when she got out I kissed Mason quickly then opened the door and we all filed out, Mason opened the door for us and then led us up stairs. His house was beautiful, white walls, big doors and wooden floors.
"Wow" Oggie said
"Ya" Mason asked
"Ya" I replied
"Oggie if you want to shower Brandy can go threw my older sisters old clothes for you" Mason offered as he opened the door to the bathroom
"Thanks" Oggie walked in
"Where are the spare clothes" I asked
"In my sisters old room" he smiled
"I didn't know you had a sister"
"Well she's off the live in Australia with her husband, she's 28" he said as he opened the door to a pretty pink room, he opened the closet and I saw more clothes than I would ever have in my life and this was just her pajamas
"Over here should fit Oggie" he smiled
"Thanks" I picked up a pair of sweat pants and a shirt
"Are you okay" he asked looking into my eyes
"Ya...no Mason I...i thought I lost another" I said pushing my head into his chest
"It's okay we've got her now, she's okay" he said kissing my head
"Okay" I sniffed "I'll be right back"
I walked to the bathroom and knocked on the door
"Ya" I heard Oggie voice replie
"I've got your Pjs can I put them inside for you" I asked
"Sure" I opened the door "wow" the bathroom was stunning the shower curtain was a sand texture look, and there where shells and beach stuff every where
"Right" Oggie asked
"Here, I put them on the sink counter" I said
"Take my old ones"
"Kk"
"Listen I'm sorry about how I acted-"
"Forgiven" I said as I walked out

Oggie came down and Mason lead both of us to our rooms after meeting his dad Jeff
"Here you go" he opened the door to a room all blue, yellow and green "Oggie this ones for you" he hugged her then she went to bed
"This ones for you" he opened the door to a red and black room
"Oh my god" I jumped up and down
"Ya it's perfect for you right" he smiled
"Ya"
"Night" he leaned down and kissed me slowly, then he pulled away
"Could you stay with me" I said still a bit shaken up
"Ya" he walked in and opened the covers. I crawled in then he did. I nuzzled my face into his chest and he wrapped his arms around my waist

"I love you" he whispered
"I love you too" I smiled as I drifted away to sleep
