"Yes, I'm on my way. Yeah, Taehyung is coming too." Jisoo rolled her eyes in annoyance and cut the phone call with Oliver.
Jisoo and her childhood friends were finally meeting and Oliver had specially requested her to bring Taehyung along.
"Suddenly, you and Oliver are inseparable." She looked at her lover and then the contact on her phone.
Taehyung chuckled, "It's never bad to make good friends with your lover's friends."
Jisoo stared at him with a null expression. Taehyung sighed.
"He's just more relatable than the others, all right!" He said in a defeated manner.
Jisoo chuckled, getting in the car.
Taehyung and Jisoo have been seeing each other daily for sure after the company incident. V was even more free since Chaeryoung had come back and they both have been were working together.
"Venue is Jinyoung's house." Jisoo put on the seat belt and began to drive.
They chatted until they reached the place, which included Jisoo threatening Taehyung that she'll tell Jimin about how he said Oliver was more relatable and that thought made Taehyung shiver; Jimin would kill him, or worse- not talk with him for more than a day!.
They entered the place and were welcomed by Jinyoung and a few others.
"Everyone is here except Oliver. He forced me to bring my boyfriend to the friends get-together and he doesn't show up yet?" Jisoo groaned.
"Oliver asked you to bring your boyfriend along with you?" Jinyoung asked, stressing on the word boyfriend.
Jinyoung always knew that there was something different about the way Oliver talked with or saw Jisoo. Even a month ago, when Jinyoung first spotted him in Korea, Oliver spoke mostly about Jisoo.
"Yeah, they are great friends." Jisoo walked to the others, greeting them and introducing Taehyung to them.
Jinyoung shook his thoughts off his head and called Oliver to ask where he was. Oliver answered the call, briefly spoke with him and cut the call.
"Oliver should be here by the next fifteen minutes." Jinyoung smiled and walked towards them, taking a seat.
Taehyung looked at Jisoo lovingly as she happily chatted with her childhood friends. She was so excited and was giggling like a child for the smallest jokes.
After about twenty minutes, the door bell rang. Jinyoung opened the door and a very jolly Oliver smiled at him and walked in cheerfully.
He greeted everyone and hugged Taehyung happily.
Jinyoung carefully observed every movement of Oliver around Taehyung and Jisoo. He noticed how both Oliver and Taehyung collectively looked at Jisoo very admiringly.
Jinyoung sat there quietly, trying to contain the awkward energy within himself. He always knew that Oliver admired Jisoo, and he knew the struggle Oliver had gone through; he also knew the struggle Taehyung went through and how Jisoo helped him.
'She should have just become a psychologist instead, healing PTSD patients everywhere.' Jinyoung shook his head.
Remembering their childhood was fun. All of them shared significant memories of their own, growing emotional by the second.
They ended up crying by the time they dispersed.
Weird enough, no matter how much they spoke with and included Taehyung in the conversation, no one mentioned to Taehyung as Jisoo's boyfriend when Oliver was around.
After many of them left, the only people left in the room were the couple, Oliver and Jinyoung.
Since they were a little closer than the rest of them, they decided to have dinner together.
Jinyoung quickly ran to the store to grab a few essentials, and when they asked him why he didn't have such necessary items- "Bachelor things" he said.
Oliver suddenly remembered that he has to propose to Jisoo.
He calmly approached her, glancing at her nervously, "Jisoo nooni, I have something very important to tell you."
Jisoo looked at him, curious as to what he might say. Taehyung stood beside her, equally curious.
Oliver was more comfortable as Taehyung was beside them. He felt that confessing to Jisoo around Taehyung, one of his rare well-wishers, would be better and truly, the place had more positive vibrations than most of the places in Oliver's life.
Taehyung was the only person who didn't pity him but empathised with him of his past. Perhaps it was because he was fighting an unseen battle as well, although they were completely different.
Somehow a part of Taehyung was perfectly aligned with a part of Oliver. He encouraged him to learn from the incidents and not to become that pathetic person again rather than just forgetting about it completely.
The way that both of them perceived of their pasts was similar and better than many.
Oliver took a deep breathe and smiled.
"I have always liked you, Jisoo."
Heylo! How was your day?
