Getting ready to take Lesley home, Rick checked to make sure everything was okay so while he wasn't home with her and the kids were, she wouldn't have a difficult time with doing anything.
“ Jesslyn, make sure that the railing is tight so it won't shake or wobble when your mother would be able to use it. There's a couple things I want to make sure we do before I go to pick her up from the hospital.” Rick expressed while making sure the downstairs guest room was set to look nice.
“ It was such a relief that Momma is okay and she's coming home.”
“ I don't think I will argue there… Jesslyn what exactly happened when she took the fall.” Rick asked when he had Jesslyn sit with him on the couch
Jesslyn explained what happened when Lesley had taken the bad fall and later when Rick went up to the hospital to check on her he sat by her side for the night so in the morning he was able to take her home after Steve and Monica signed her release paperwork
“ Rick, what are you doing up here? I thought you were gonna be home with the kids...” Lesley carefully turned slightly
“ Easy Sweetheart, I came up to spend the night with you here so first thing in the morning I can take you home...” Rick gave Lesley a kiss “ How are you doing, is there anything I can get for you.?”
“ I'm alright, just very tired and my back is bothering me… but I'm okay when I have you by my side.”
Rick sat slightly on the bed beside Lesley as he usually would do so he could hold her for alittle while and later Rick spoke to her oncologist whole Lesley was resting
“ So she's still cancer free, her pet scan was still clear?” Rick asked.
“ There is no sign or indication that the cancer has come back.” Dr Richards explained
“ I'm sorry if it seems like I wasn't believing it, it's just she's taken falls like this before except this one nearly killed her and we have had no answer as to why she has had this amount of trouble… Could it be possible that something is hiding enough to go undetected.?”
“ Rick I have looked over her full work up from head CT to her pet scans. I double checked to confirm and she's stable.” Dr Richards tried again to assure Rick.

Rick took Lesley home the following morning so that she could take some time to rest and relax and later Rick arranged for Jessie to take the kids for the evening so he and Lesley could have a quiet evening to themselves.
“ Rick, how did you manage to do all of this?”
“ Jesslyn helped me out. I wanted to make sure that everything was gonna be accessible for you when I brought you home.” Rick wrapped his arms around Lesley while they were on the couch
“ Rick, do you think things will ever go back to normal…?” Lesley pushed to sit up
“ What do you mean by that… Everything is gonna be just fine. And you will be alright because I'm gonna see to it.”
“ Not if the cancer is back and back with a vengeance.”
“ Lesley the cancer has not come back… I spoke to Jerry myself and even looked over your work up from the pet scans and blood work… you are still cancer free.”
“ I hope so….” Lesley snuggled back while laying with Rick on the couch.
“ Sweetheart I know so…. You're gonna get to do alot of fun and you will get to count down the days to when we get to have our first grandchild.”
