17-year-old Ara looked at her 15-year-old brothers and mouthed out, 'Do you know what's going on?' Both of them shook their heads no, but their mother was bawling her eyes out like her dog had just died. But she doesn't even have a dog, so the kids were really confused.
Their parents don't fight, none of them. It has always been all three of them, and it's always been harmonious in their house. It shouldn't work, two brothers living with one woman who's only married to one of them. They have slept in the same bed for as long as they can remember. They see how much they love each other, so why is their mother crying and yelling at them?
"You can't," Rosie sobbed as she was lying down on top of Jungkook. Her hands were fisting his shirt, and she was sobbing into his neck. Jungkook had his arms around her, rocking her back and forth, trying to calm her down, but nothing worked. "I want a divorce; I'll marry you instead."
Jungkook sighed and looked at his brother, "I knew she was going to take it hard, but not this badly."
Jimin frowned; he knew it was going to happen, and that's why he put it off until the last possible minute. Rose sat up, straddling his little brother, and 20 years ago, Jimin would have gotten jealous and pulled her off of him. But now? He sees how much they love each other. He stopped caring about them kissing each other so long ago. "Babe, please talk to me."
"No," was all she said while refusing to look at him. Her focus was all on Jungkook, "I'll do better. Whatever you want, stay, please. I. I love you, Jungkook, and I can't survive without you." Tears were pouring down her face, breaking both their hearts, "I'll give you me if that's what it takes. I know that we haven't done anything like that, but I will; I can not think of you as my little brother if you stay."
Jungkup kissed her forehead, "Rosie, you know it's not like that. What we have is exactly what I want and what I need to have a fulfilled and great life."
"Then why are you leaving me?"
Jimin couldn't take it anymore. He sat down next to his wife and little brother. "Babe, he's not leaving; he's just not moving into the new house with us, that's all."
"That's leaving Jiminssi, you don't understand. When you were gone all those days, Kookie held me when I was sad or scared; he's a part of this marriage, as you are. I may not have had sex with him, but I love him with everything I am. And what about the kids? They have two dads and always have. You two want to take that away, and you didn't tell me."
The brothers looked at each other. It was not like they wanted this either. It's just how does the President of the country explain his little brother moving into the Presidential house with them? People have already made assumptions about Jungkook and Rosie, but it's always been played off as her being American. But if he moves in with them?
"Rosie, I can't live there with you guys. It wouldn't look right, and it would hurt Hyung in the long run."
"I don't care. If the country doesn't accept that their President loves his little brother, then I don't want to be married to the President." She pouted while squeezing the life out of her Kookie.
"I'll go grab her some root beer. Can you calm her down?" He whispered before leaving their main bedroom.
"Is mom okay? What did you two do?"
Jimin looked at Austin and sighed before flopping down onto the couch. "You know that since I'm the President, we have to move, right?" All three kids nodded their heads. "Well, Kook isn't coming with us." That caused all three kids to have the same reaction that his wife did: screaming and tears.
If being President means that his family is this upset, then he doesn't even want it anymore. He was happy before, in their little bubble. Kook and Rose had a very successful business, and he was doing well in politics, too. He didn't have to be President. "I'll fix this, I promise."
He marched into the bedroom, where his wife was still sobbing in Jungkook's arms. He tried to assure her that they'd still see each other every single day at work, and it was not like he was moving to another country. He'd stay here in their house, in their bed.
"But that's just it Kookie, I want you in our bed. I haven't spent a night away from you in twenty years. It's easier for Jimin to leave than you."
Ouch, that one hurt. But he can't exactly get mad. He was the one who chose a career that led him away for over half the year, give or take. "I'm going to step down; I'll make the announcement tomorrow before they swear me in that I no longer want to be President."
"WHAT?" Both his brother and wife screamed at the same time.
"Hyung, you can't do that. You've worked your entire life for this."
"Doesn't matter, my children and wife are crying their eyes out at the thought of losing you. My family will always be more important to me than any job. Honestly, you two make enough money that we don't have to work for the rest of our lives. I don't need to be President."
Rosie sniffled, wiping her tears away, "Can't Kookie just come with us? Can't you explain it to everyone?"
His head cocked to the side a bit, "You want me to; tell my the nation that we are basically in a poly relationship with my younger brother, but since he's ACE, there's no sexual aspect in it?"
She shrugged, "Why not? We aren't doing anything wrong. There's no sex between Kook and me or Kook and you. So why can't people just understand that he's as much a part of this family? Jimin, I love you. I love you with my entire being, but I love Kookie, too. He may not be my husband on paper, but he's practically my husband anyway."
Jimin looked at Jungkook. It was up to him, really. Does he want the entire nation to know about him? "If you think it'll help, you can tell them. I don't mind; I'm not ashamed of myself or what we have. If you think it's a risk you can make, then you have my permission."
So that's how Jimin found himself speaking to the nation before he was sworn in. Telling his people that he'll gladly step down if they aren't okay with this. He spoke for over an hour explaining Jungkook's part in their family, and he's not going to lie; there was a lot of backlash, mainly from the older generations. But the younger ones fully supported a President who was an ally and spoke with his family's best interest at heart; when they had to do things like travel, he came along.
It was common practice to see Rosie on either of their arms, and after two years, the world no longer cared. Jimin was a great President, and that's all that really mattered. He had no scandals other than his little brother, who was ACE and lived with them. He loved his wife dearly, and he was a great father. What more could the people want?
