Volume 84: Ray of Light

The unknown red knights had appeared on the battlefield with either side not knowing of their origin. They marched forward, holding countless different axes. Everyone watched in confusion, and the first group to meet with them was the forces of the Dark Territory.

Dark Knight: Wh-Who are you?

A dark knight asked. Without uttering a single word, one of the red knights raised their swords in the air and brought it down upon the dark knight. The Dark Knight was split in half from the attack and after they died, the red knight uttered, "Charge!" that was followed by other screams.

"Kick their ass!"

Give 'em hell!!"

It was English. The red knight charged the dark knight with all of their weapons brandished and clashed with the people of the Underworld.

"Wh-what are you...?!"

"I thought you were on our side...!"

Shocked, the knights attempted to deflect these attacks, but the numbers were against them. And the red soldiers' weapons and armour were apparently superior to those of the Dark Army, as the swords and shields raised in defence quickly broke and shattered.

Over at the group of Integrity Knights and the others, the Human Empire army that caught up with them looked at the sight in confusion.

Bercouli jumped off his horse as he asked,

Bercouli: Who is that group of soldiers? To nobody in particular.

The real worlders on the Human Empire side only took about half a second to figure out their identity.

Kirito: That's...

The slaughter of the dark knights and pugilists alike continued as the red knights didn't care about who they killed. The screams of the dying troops rang through the battle and were mixed in with the screams of the red knights enjoying their time.

Red Knight: Dude, that's awesome!

One shouted inspecting his bloodied sword.

Another pulled their sword out of the chest of a dead Pugilist.

Red Knighy: That's Gross!!

Asuna who was watching suddenly pulled out her Rapier and uttered the command.

Asuna: System Call! Create Field Object!!

A rainbow aurora appeared around the rapier, she would not be creating a bottomless ravine-like she did with Sachi last night. There was nothing to be gained by cutting off the human army's escape route.

Instead, she swung the sword hard, imagining huge, jutting rocks as sharp as spears.

Laaaaaaaa!

There was a booming, heavenly sound effect. Rainbow light shot from the tip of the rapier, jabbing just a bit before the collision point of the Americans and the Underworlders.

The ground there shook, and the gray rock split the surface. It erupted to a height of a hundred feet, hurling the red warriors around it into the air. Four more boulders appeared after it, doing the same. The earth quaked, sending hundreds of suits of crimson armour upward. They screamed and swore, some crushed to a pulp by the rocks, others dashed against the ground. Blood and guts flew everywhere.
