I walked into my apartment, it being empty as always. I looked up at the clock on the wall to check the time, since my phone had died at work.
3:00 am. Not bad.
Since working in the hotel twenty minutes away, I normally didn't get home until later on that this, so this was like a mini reward. I walked to my room, getting my phone charger and plugging it in. I walked back into the main room, which was dimly lit by the small lamp in the corner. I tried to straighten everything up for a few minutes while waiting for my phone to buzz to life. I returned to my room a few minutes later to see my phone illuminating the walls. I began to scroll through my notifications, and I couldn't help noticing the alarming amount of messages from V. There was so many. So many. And he was acting really strange, and suspicious, in a worrying way. They were like riddles to begin with, but then they just got down right scary.
"Don't forget to lock your door tonight"
"Check under the bed before sleeping"
"The closet is always the best place to hide."
"What..?" I breathed out loud to myself.
The most recent message was only sent twenty minutes ago, so I decided I would just call him. I hit the phone icon by his name and waited anxiously for him to pick up. But he didn't. I rang him again and again and nothing happened. I was on the sixth attempt now. Still no answer. So I began to leave a voicemail.
"Taehyung oppa, this is not funny. If this is a joke you better cut it o-" I stopped talking once I heard the plug being pulled from the bath, and it sounded like it was beginning to drain.
I left my phone on my bed, and my legs carried me out of the room and down the hallway towards the bathroom. Which was the opposite of what I wanted to do. I wanted to hide under my bed until it stopped, but my body wasn't having any of it.
Once I reached the door, I could see the mirror that had been fogged up with steam. I stumbled backwards to the wall facing the bathroom door, with my body pressed against it and just sank to the floor.
I was so confused. I definitely drained the bath before I went to work, and even if I hadn't, no way the mirrors would still be hazy and baths do not drain themselves. Before I could continue to worry myself, the door started to open, letting the light escape. And there, stood before me, was the smirking masterpiece that was Kim Taehyung, with a towel hanging off his hips, with another round his shoulders, one side being used to rub his dripping wet hair that was swinging past his eyes.
"I told you, always lock the door"He said, smirking and trying to act smart.
"Yah! That's not funny!" I said, trying to sound angry but just sounding absolutely terrified.
"It's pretty funny" he said, just walking past me. I wasn't even going to follow him. My heart was still too frazzled from him scaring me and on top of that, now I had to deal with the last image that he left in my brain. This is all too much.
The past few months have been strange to say the least. We've been fighting most of the time we're together, so I applied for more work hours because it was less draining. I know it isn't right to stay with someone if you're just going to avoid them. But the thing is, I love him. More than anything. Even the stupid little mind games that infuriate me to the point of wanting to pull my hair out, make me crave him even more. He's like a drug addiction that I can't get rid of.
A few minutes later of me still sitting on the floor, I heard a door open and shut, followed by footsteps. I looked up to see V, fully dressed. in his black ripped skinny jeans, boots, printed T-shirt and leather jacket.
