-Third Person POV/9-Month Time skip-
It's been a couple of months now since Yuna met Luffy and the others. She has gotten closer to Ace and Sabo and even closer to Luffy. It was almost time for Shanks to leave and, neither Luffy nor her was excited about it. Shanks had become like a stepbrother, almost father-like person to Yuna, while he became a role model and idol for Luffy.
Once again, the pirates, Luffy, and Yuna were at the nice lady's bar talking. This time there were two chests on the wooden slab that was a counter. Shanks and his crew brought these back this time after they left to do what pirates do. Luffy and Yuna, since both were pigs, they were both hungry. Yuna looked at Luffy just as he looked at her and, they nodded at each other. Yuna got the blue one with what almost looked like cloud engravings on it and, Luffy got the purple one with spirals on it. They both took a bite at the same time, too hungry to care about the taste of the nasty fruit, finishing it as fast as any other food.
Luffy burped, and Yuna laughed, holding her tummy as if she were pregnant, before giving a monstrous burp, causing Luffy to fall off his chair in laughter. Shanks looked at what they ate to find both chests empty, then looked at the duo, then the chest, doing it again before screaming. Grabbing both of them and turning them upside down, knowing it was useless, but needing to try nonetheless, "SPIT IT OUT, SPIT IT OUT, MORONS," Shanks yelled, shaking them like ragdolls. Luffy then stretched, hitting his face on the floor. Yuna burst out laughing as he slaps back up to his regular size. She kept laughing as she hit her head on the ceiling because of the wind that picked her up before falling to the ground. The duo looked at each other in amusement before Shanks started yelling again. "WHAT YOU BOTH JUST ATE WAS A DEVIL FRUIT! YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO SWIM AGAIN," Yuna looked at Shanks, knowing he was worried.
She lightly pats his hip, "Big bro Shanks, I don't even know how to swim besides, this is epic," Yuna laughed, still feeling carefree, even with the bad news. The crew looked at her weird, her monotone laugh still new to them, "I always wanted to be able to control the wind," she said, reassuring him.
Shanks shook his head, "No, Yuna, you don't get it. You can't be a pirate anymore," Shanks stressed, causing Yuna to laugh harder, her black-haired best friend joining in.
"Of course, we can still become pirates," Yuna said, waving him off as if what he said was outlandish, "Now, it just means we have to work even harder to get to our goal and, that's fine with me. What about you, Lu," Yuna turned to look at the taller boy, waiting for an answer.
Luffy grinned, "Yeah, we can still win. The water in the way of our dreams isn't going to stop us," Luffy pulled me closer to him, resting his arm on my shoulder. Shanks and his crew looked at the obtrusive duo in shock, all thinking the same thing. 'They can change the world if they put their mind to it,' Luffy laughed, "Besides, if I'm going to be pirate king, I need to get over any obstacle in my path," Luffy shrugged.
Shanks smirked, thinking of an idea, "Luffy, who is going to be the pirate queen," he asked, seemingly innocently.
Luffy scratched his head in thought before looking at you with a curious expression. "Do you want to be my pirate queen," he asked, unbothered by the shocked look you were sending his way. Shanks's crew hooted and hollered at the duo.
Yuna thought for a minute before asking the golden question. "Do you even know what that stands for, Lu," Luffy looked at you in confusion before thinking it over, nodding every so often to himself, before looking at you with a look of understanding.
"I think so. I think it means we have to be by each other's side forever, right, no matter what?" Luffy asked, innocently. Yuna thought for a minute before nodding in agreement.
"I guess, in a sense, that's what it means. I'm talking about the other meaning," Yuna said, causing Luffy to look at her in confusion wait, there's a different meaning, the raven-haired boy thought to himself.
Luffy clapped his hands together, determined, "Explain to me the other meaning, YuYu-Chan," Luffy demanded, determined to learn what it meant.
Yuna slapped herself in the face. Why she put herself in this position would remain a mystery. Yuna thought of a way to explain it so that the raven-haired boy would understand. "Okay, Luffy, if I became the queen to your king," you paused, thinking of a way to describe what would happen, "if I became the queen to your king, we would have to have feelings for each other. We would share almost everything and, we would fight but then come to a compromise. For example, if I wanted to take a special seat from you and we fought about it, we would have to come to a compromise on that argument. We come to a compromise, so we don't stay angry at each other for a long time. As you said before, we would be by each other through thick and thin and be by each other's side forever no matter what. But, while that is true, it's so much more than that, we should always try to forgive each other, we would have to become closer than ever before, but I will explain that to you later on. So, Luffy, do you still want me to become the queen of your king? The darkness to your light and the light to your darkness," Yuna finished explaining. Yuna looked at a shell-shocked Luffy with a confused expression.
Luffy thought about what his white-haired friend said and can't help but feel happy. A smile graced his face as he looked at the white-haired girl. Luffy didn't know what kind of feelings she was talking about, nor did he understand how close they would have to get. But he nodded. Luffy didn't need to understand everything to know that it was what he wanted. "Of course, that sounds nice," Luffy said, a face-splitting grin on his face, with a look of pure seriousness in his eyes. Yuna smiled, nodded, turned around in his arms, and hugged the young boy. Luffy smiled and hugged her back.
Shanks, look at both of the children in disbelief before smiling softly to himself. Yes, the kids were oblivious to the fact that they just declared they would get married. But the red-headed pirate swore to himself that if they ever actually got together, then they would be one of the most powerful couples in existence.
