A lot has happened, the crew got swallowed, but Luffy fell overboard, dragging Yuna with him.

The duo panicked before finding their way into the whale. Luffy cursed in worry for his nakama, keeping Yuna close to him at all times, worried she would disappear just like everyone else did.

"Hey, it's okay!" Yuna assured, giving Luffy's hand a gentle squeeze, "Since the whale swallowed them, they're in his stomach, and it takes a while for stomach acid to digest something, so don't worry."

Luffy sighed, rubbing the back of his neck, "I know, but I was worried."

Yuna smiled a small, sad smile, "I know, but I promise they're okay."

Luffy nodded, and they continued walking down the weird hallway in the whale, not questioning it.

_Le time skip_

It took some time before they found their crew. They met an old man who explained some things to them: about the grandline and the whale.

Currently: the crew was about to sail off with the two people they had met. The old man was kind enough to give them a log pose and everyone was excited about their adventure and couldn't wait.

"Yu-Chan, what should we do with those guys?" Luffy asked, pointing at the tied-up people on the Going Merry.

Yuna hummed in thought, "Well we could kill them." She responded, a sadistic glint in her eye causing Luffy to sweatdrop.

"No." He responded blankly, a slight smile on his lips.

Yuna pouted, "Why? They tried to hurt us." She whined, yanking his shirt (I don't know what it's called) slightly in protest.

Luffy seemed to think about it for a second as his face pulled in concentration. "No, we aren't killers, Yu-Chan."

Yuna huffed, giving the people a light kick in the stomach, "Fine."

Luffy sighed; I just had to fall in love with a sadist, didn't I? He thought before shaking his head in defeat.

Yuna looked at him over her shoulder, now a couple of feet away, a pout present on her lips, "We won't be able to keep it that way forever, Lu-Kun." She stated.

Luffys eyebrows furrowed in confusion, "Why?"

"It won't be possible even if it's an accident everyone on this ship will kill someone eventually. We will fight stronger opponents, and it will be kill them or be killed by them, and I expect you not to die." Yuna said, her face void of emotion.

Luffy rubbed the back of his neck, deciding not to reply. He walked up to her and wrapped his arms around her gently, leaning his head on her shoulder.

Yuna hummed in satisfaction, leaning against him peacefully. "I know you don't want to, and I know you will do everything in your power to stop it from happening, but I need you to promise me something," Yuna whispered.

"What is it?" Luffy whispered back as he enjoyed her warmth.

"If it comes down to it, do not die." She responded, a tone of seriousness in her voice, knowing he would understand.

Luffy sighed, burying his head into the crook of her neck, breathing in her scent deeply. He never wants to kill anyone, and he doesn't intend to do so, but he knows he cannot die and leave her alone because he refuses to kill someone. "I..." He paused, voice slightly shaking, "I promise." Luffy felt tears well up in his eyes and pulled her tighter against him. He knew she didn't want him hurt, and he knew if it came down to it, he would kill someone to protect her. "Promise me you won't die." He whispered.

"I promise, sunshine." She responded, no hesitancy in her voice. Yuna doesn't ever call him sunshine as it was a pet name between lovers, but she felt it was right to call him that.

Luffy sighed in approval, turning her to face him, and picked her up gently before walking to Merry's head, and sitting down with her on his lap. "I love you," He whispered bluntly, a slight jolt of fear settling in his chest.

"I love you." She responded, pushing her face into his neck in return. They stayed like that for hours, enjoying the peace and not caring that they confessed their love for each other. Neither of them felt the time was right to begin a relationship, but they knew they were ready for anything.
