The fight of Luffy, Zoro, and Yuna against Captain Morgan waged on. Yuna had been trying her best to help, but the boys almost wouldn't let her, and she was getting frustrated.
Maybe I'll get more action when we reach the grand line. Yuna thought, giving a quiet sigh as the battle grew to an end.
As they headed back to the bar, Yuna felt salty, she wasn't weak, but they made her feel like she was. Her face was void of any emotion as she walked ahead of the duo, gritting her teeth. Luffy grabbed Yuna again, pulling her towards himself.
"What's wrong Yu-Chan?" Luffy asked, worry dripping from his words.
"Nothing," She responded, face as void as ever.
Luffy frowned, pulling her away from Zoro, "Tell me, YuYu," Luffy stated, a frown still on his face.
"I felt utterly useless during that fight, and it seemed like you both wouldn't even let me try." She stated, looking down. "You know I'm strong, and I've been practicing, we both grew in power together, so why do I feel like you're trying to make sure I don't fight?" She asked, tears creeping into the corner of her eyes, but she didn't let them fall.
Luffy sighed, a guilty look on his face, "I was trying to protect you," he said, rubbing the back of his neck.
Yuna huffed, "You can't keep trying to protect me, and we just started this voyage things are only going to get worse from here," Yuna said, "You won't be able to protect me all the time,"
Luffy looked away in distaste, "I can," He said, pouting.
"Let me fight, Luffy," Yuna demanded, "I can't become the pirate Queen if I don't fight any battles,"
Luffy nodded, "Okay, fine, but if you get hurt, I'm interfering,"
"Only if I ask you too," Yuna said, pulling his face in her hands, "I need to grow in strength with fights too,"
Luffy sighed, "Fine,"
We continued walking toward the bar, Luffy's arm around Yuna's shoulders as the three of them chatted.
Zoro looked at the two with a curious look, "So, Yuna, you're gonna be Queen of the pirates?" He asked.
"Yup, we decided that when we were young." Yuna nodded, a smile on her face.
Zoro hummed in thought, "You guys aren't together though so, how is that going to work?"
Yuna giggled, "Who says we won't be in the future?" She joked, poking Luffy in the cheek.
Luffy was shocked at what Yuna had said, even if it was a joke as a blush decorated his face as his jaw went slack, looking at her in awe. Luffy hoped she liked him back and was excited to see what they had in store.
Yuna was oblivious, the boys had always said she was denser than Luffy, but she didn't believe them. Luffy always came to her when he was confused about anything. Yuna liked Luffy a lot and had since they were kids, and she wanted to do anything for them to become a couple but was worried about how Luffy would react.
"Hmm, are you sure? Luffy's a dense person." Zoro stated an indifferent look on his face.
"Hey!" Luffy shouted, looking at him angrily, "I know what that stuff means, Yuna taught me all about it!"
How embarrassing, Yuna thought. Blush began to decorate her face in a brilliant red. "LuLu-Kun don't just say that," Yuna whined in embarrassment, pulling at Luffy's cheeks.
Zoro smirked at their interactions, poking more fun at the duo. Zoro teased them endlessly until they reached their seat at their table.
They soon began eating, talking lightly with each other. "You are amazing!" Rike exclaimed.
With a mouthful of food, Luffy responded, "Yep, I am! And I'm gonna be even more amazing! Cause I'm going to be King of the pirates! I even have a crew." Luffy boasted, glancing at Zoro and me causing me to smile.
"So, how many others have you gathered beside Yuna and me?" Zoro asked, causing me to sweatdrop, rubbing the back of my neck.
Yuna laughed nervously, "Uh, just us," She responded, letting Luffy continue eating.
Zoro was dumbfounded, looking at the two of them in disbelief. "What about a pirate ship?"
"There," Yuna mumbled, pointing at a small ship.
"That?" Zoro grumbled as he had a stupid captain.
"We'll have a ship this big before long!" Luffy stated, spreading his arms wide in a childish manner. Yuna nodded her head in agreement with her arms crossed.
Zoro cackled, giving us a raised eyebrow, "And how's that?!"
Luffy ignored his question, and Yuna shrugged her shoulder, "And I'd like a pirate flag too!" Luffy smiled, a hopeful look for the future on his face as he talked about his dream. Yuna looked at him with admiration; whenever Luffy talked about his dream she always got a warm, bubbling feeling in her stomach. "Yeah, yeah, yeah! So cool!"
Zoro grabbed the bridge of his nose in annoyance, "I think Luffy-san was born without any sense of planning." Koby stated with a smile, a cup in his hands. Yuna, once again, nodded in agreement. "Yuna-san just goes with the flow." Koby continued, taking a small sip.
Before their conversation could continue, marines walked into the bar telling them they had to leave but were thankful for all that they'd done for them. "Is Koby with you?"
Luffy made sure to make it obvious that they were not connected and left with his crew members, leaving for their next stop.
