Chapter 9: Friends??

Recap:

When Sid was leaving, he ordered Ashu to sit down...He saw the change in Ashu's behaviour and got a bit worried...Ashu did head down folding his hands, keeping them of the table and leaning his head on them...He cried silently....

Back to the story..

Two more days passed like this, now Avu was hella worried about Ashu's behaviour....It's the most painful thing for her to see...She tried talking to him...But it was all vain, he never used to tell what had happened...On the other hand Sid too was also worried...But Ashu's this silence became somewhat beneficial for Sid... As he stopped thinking about his past..He was just worried for Ashu nowadays...He even talked to Avneet about this..

Flashback

Sid decided to call Avu and talk to her whether if something has happened at their house that's bothering Ashu... He was nervous...The reason he also didn't know...Even Avu's presence is sufficient reason for Sid to be nervous...But as it was about Ashu, he finally called her...

Conversation:

Sid: Good morning mam, I am Siddharth...

Avu (in mind): Still his voice is a melody to my ears...

Sid: Mam...

Avu came out of her thoughts by his voice...

Avu: Yes Sidd...I mean Sir..

Sid: No no...It's fine you can call me Siddharth or even Sid, I won't mind...

Avu: No, I mean I am ok with Siddharth...And ya you can also call me Avneet....

Sid: Ok....Avneet..

Avu: So, why you called me Siddharth... Is it something about Ashu?? Did he do something?? Look if he did then you can punish him, I am not the parent who will object on punishing....

Sid: Are..Aree... Wait he didn't do anything...I just want to talk about his behaviour...He is always sad and gloomy...

Avu: Yeah!! And now his this behaviour is scaring me more than anything...

She stated sadly

Sid: I think you should talk to him..

Avu: I tried but he isn't ready to tell me anything...

Sid: Hmm...I think I should try to ask him...Maybe he is not able to tell you fearing of your anger...

Avu: Maybe...I think you should try...

Sid: Ok, then please come 10-15 mins late, to pick Ashu from school, so that I can talk to him...

Avu: Okkkkk

Sid: By the way....Ummm......(Hesitating) Can..can we be friends??

Avu (in mind): Jab baat karni chahiye thi tab toh dekha bhi nhi dhang se and now when I moved on...He is asking for friendship....(When I wanted him to talk at time he didn't even look at me properly...)

Sid: It's ok...If you don't wan-

Avu: No...no....I want...

Sid: Huh??

Avu: I mean I want to be your friend....

Sid: Ohhh...

Avu: So, friends from today....

Sid: Yeah....

Avu: Accha now bye....I have some work...

Sid: Sure...Bye...

Conversation ends...

Avu's POV

God damn it....Why the hell I accepted to be his friend...When I want to stay away from him...Am I falling for him again.... NO...No...no..This can't happen, this just can't happen....I accepted to be his friend because if I reject the proposal without any reason, it will not look good...Ya ya... that's the only reason...

POV ends...

She was lost in her thoughts but soon came out of them, hearing muffled sobs...She sadly sighed as she knew who was the person... She went to Ashu's room and saw him crying laying down on bed...She slowly went to him....

Avu: Ashu...

She whispered...

Ashu quickly wiped his tears and looked at her....

Ashu: Mumma you here??

Avu picked him up and sat on the bed making Ashu sit on her lap....

Avu: Ashu you know what when you don't share things sometimes it becomes too late and you are just left with a regret in your mind....So, I would advise you to tell me what has happened....I promise you baccha that I will help you to solve your problem...

Ashu: Mumma....

He looked at her with teary eyes but soon he remembered something and stopped...

Avu: Say baccha...

Ashu: No mumma nothing....

Avu helplessly closed her eyes and took a deep breath...

Avu: Accha leave...Now let's sleep...

Ashu: Hmm...

They both layed down and Ashu slept hugging Avu....
