Chapter 11: Milkshake

After this line Ashu's expressions again changed to a sad one which was noticed by Sid...

Sid: Umm...Avneet can I take him to my home today...You can pick him up in evening or I will drop him to your house...

Back to the story...

Avu: Yes.....

Saying this Avu made Ashu stand on the ground and held Sid's hand in between her both the hands... A spark made both of them shiver but soon Avu composed herself and spoke...

Avu: See Siddharth Ashu is my lifeline...So, please take care of him and...

Sid: I understand Avneet....I have already lost my two lifelines... I know the pain you get when you loose the person you are alive for and the immense care you have for him/her...

He said with shining eyes....

Sid: You can trust me for Ashu...I know how much you love him...

While Sid was saying all this Avneet was busy reading his eyes...His eyes had a mystery in them and a different kind of loneliness and longing for someone very special to him...

Avu: Hm...

Saying this she picked up Ashu and kissed his nose...

Avu: We will meet in evening ok baccha...And don't trouble Sir much... Be a good baby....Ok??

Ashu: Ok mumma....

Saying this he smiled and she made him stand....Ashu held Sid's finger...

Sid: So, now let's go...

Saying this he walked towards his car...He settled Ashu on passenger seat and himself sat on driver's seat, soon he drove off...

Avu's POV

What was he talking??? Two lifelines...I know he has suffered, suffered from something which killed his original self, the happy soul inside him is deep buried somewhere, his eyes express that fact but what exactly happened??Wait why I am even bothered about him??? Let's leave it and focus only on my work and Ashu...

POV ends...

Though Avneet didn't want to think about Sid but his words were ringing in her mind and after a lot of argument, she finally decided to talk to Sid...But she was thinking wasn't it to awkward to ask about his personal life...Though they had a long time connection but still they have been friends only for two to three days...

Meanwhile with Sid

Sid's POV

Since I met Avneet, I am getting weird kind of feelings...I don't know how to express them but I can't even stop them...It's just been 7 days we met and I think I kinda like her but how can I fall for her...She is a mystery in herself....I even don't know much about her....But still I feel a connection with her....my chain of thoughts was broken by Ashu...

Ashu: Sir...Who is Dad???

My heart sank hearing this question because I knew it will be tough to answer his question...

Ashu: I asked mumma many times but she didn't answer, I asked my friends they laughed at me...I even asked my other teachers but they changed the topic, but I know you will answer my question...Haina??

His this confidence on me made me more nervous... I knew, I was stuck, I had to answer something but his this question confirmed that he has never seen his dad....

Sid: You know Ashu....Dad is just a friend...Who loves you, cares for you, protect you and make you strong when you feel weak....He will fulfill your demands, he will scold you when needed, he will pamper you when needed and even fight for you....

I completed my long speech only to witness Ashu looking at me like I am an alien...

Ashu: I think you should be our English teacher....You are so good at giving speech..

He said with wide eyes and I chuckled...

And soon I stopped the car as we reached my home....I took him inside and gave him water offcourse to drink..And some cookies too...

POV ends....

Ashu drank a little bit and was about to keep it on the table but it slipped from his hand...The glass did not break as it was a steel one but the water spill on the floor and at the same time Abhishek was passing from there... He slipped and fall on the ground...

Abhi: What the...

Before he could complete Sid stuffed a cookie in his mouth...And Abhi looked at him with utter shock...Sid glared at him and eyed towards Ashu... Abhi stood up and looked at Ashu getting confused...

Sid: Dada he is my student Ashu...

Abhi: Ohh...hello Ashu myself Abhishek...

Ashu: Hello Milkshake...

He said munching cookies...
