Chapter 22: Wrath

Recap:

The only friend of his...He closed his eyes and a tear leaked down his eyes after three years...He never cried after the day Avneet and Ashu left for Paris.. His silent crying turned into sobs but soon he composed himself and a wave of anger rose inside him... He stomped out of his cabin to meet the person who was behind this...

Back to the story..

Sid barged inside Abhi's cabin looking furious..His eyes were red with anger, jaw clenched and hands fisted...He banged the table...

Sid: What is this bhai??

Abhi: What??

Sid showed the termination letter which had Abhi's sign on it...

Sid: Why you terminated Jannat bhai??

He said in a little high voice...

Abhi: See Siddharth, I feel Jannat had become your good friend and she was taking the advantage of it by not working properly and often hanging out and chilling...You can see her records..She has taken way too more number of leaves than a usual employee is permitted according to the rules of the company...

Sid: She took leaves because... because her mother is not well...She is suffering from cancer...

He said in a bit soft voice...

Abhi: I don't care Siddharth...I just want the work to be perfect...It's her personal matter to look after her mother and it should not interrupt the professional life...

Sid: How inhuman of you bhai??

He said shaking his head...He stomped out of the cabin with this...His anger was on peak and hurt visible in his eyes...Vaishu saw him coming out from Abhi's cabin and she directly went inside...

Vaish: Abhi...

She spoke softly...

Abhi: He must be hating me by now..

He said with a sad chuckle

Vaish: Abhi everything will be fine... Just do not loose hope...He loves you Abhi and he will understand the reason soon...

Saying this she hugged him...He hugged her back earning his comfort in her embrace...

Whereas with Sid...He drove his car at a high speed.. Somewhere running from his miserable life...But unfortunately he can't..Life is a chain which will always hold you either like a necklace or like shackles untill God has the will to free you forever...

He drove for an hour and finally reached a temple...The positive vibes of a temple even have the power to anchor anyone's soul...He sat their for half an hour just near the idol and almost poured his heart out to God..

After that he straight went to his home...He saw Inayat playing and Abhinavi sitting with her...As the office hours were over, they were home now...He shot a glare towards Abhi and went to his room...He freshened up himself and went down... He was not in his senses today... Only Jannat and her words were roaming in his mind specially "fake friendship"..

He went and sat on the couch present in the hall...Inu saw him and ran towards him...

Inu: Chachu palk... ( Park..)

Sid: Inayat I am not in the mood...

He said rolling his eyes at Abhishek who was sitting on the couch opposite to his...

Inu: Chachu plz...

Sid: No baby...

He said a little bit sternly....

Inu: Chachu please please please...

Sid: No...

Inu: Accha ice cleam...(Ice cream..)

Sid: Ek baar keh diya na samajh nahi samajh nhi aata kya...(I already said na we won't go, don't you understand..)

He said raising his voice... Honestly by now, Inayat was a bit scared... Abhi was looking at him from the corner of his eyes...

Inu: Chachu please na...

Saying this she held his hand...Sid was so irritated and frustrated that he freed his hand and raised it to slap Inayat...Abhi quickly jumped in middle and held Siddharth's hand...He slapped Siddharth back....Inayat had tears in her eyes...She ran to Vaish and hid behind her...Vaish picked her up in her arms, carresing her hair and calming her down...

Whereas Sid who just received a fresh hard slap came back to his senses... Instantly regret filled inside him... And on the other side Abhi was hurt, shocked, guilty but more concerned about his daughter...

Abhi: Mr. Siddharth Nigam don't you dare to touch my daughter and she is my daughter not a punching bag that you can vent all your anger and frustration on her...She is MY daughter and you have no right on her... Understood...Khud ke bete ko toh kabhi bacha nhi paya...(You couldn't even save your own son..) I was wrong that Inu is safe with you...Tujh jaisa Insaan toh uske aas paas bhi nhi hona chahiye...( A person like you should not even be around her..) Don't even dare to talk to her...

He yelled at Siddharth..After saying all this he stomped off to his room... Siddharth was shocked to see the consequences of his anger...
