At the end of the day, we made our way to our respective rooms. Where we started packing our bags to head back home. In my room, I had Alastair bring me items one by one to determine if we wanted to leave it here or head on home with it. Though, once I saw one of the items being the book that we took from Cloud Tower I stopped my movements and traced over the book itself.
"Are you alright, Zariel?" Alastair asked rubbing his head on my side before gazing up at me.
"Yeah, I guess. I'm just curious." I replied back as I start fiddling with the cover.
"How so?" The feline asks as he jumped on the bed and laying down.
"On what it says. Does it contain details from the future or only the past? I get that knowing the future might change it, but isn't it better to be prepared that not at all?" I asked looking into those crystal blue orbs.
"Then have a look. You know the earth saying. Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back." Alastair informed laying his head on his paws.
"Alright then, let's get started." I agreed going to sit down beside him and opening up to the first page.
Reading the first page and through the next things started to become confusing to me. Though it talked about my birth and background the details about those started confusing me. Still, I continued reading until I got the part of my life now being at Alfea. Grabbing the page to turn onto the next I see that it is blank.
"What?" I whispered under my breath, but Alastair still heard nudging my side to tell me to say what happened. "Well, from what I've gathered I was born at the golden temple, which apparently exists, in the night the Celestials came down and entered my body. Though it almost killed me which mom called upon the Lions which sealed themselves in me to keep the Celestials at bay. Then I tried to keep on reading just for the pages to turn blank." I kept ranting on before feeling a weight on me which made me flop back into the bed.
"Take a breath." Alastair stated while getting off of me.
"I feel like I have too many people in my body, but I'll accept it and move on from it." I answer the feline as he gave me a nod knowing that I was slightly in denial on what's going on and we started packing up the rest of our things leaving the book for last.
"What are you going to do about that?" Alastair asked pointing to the book.
"Leave it here. I already read it and I think it just talks about things that already happened not things that will so we still have to worry about the future, I guess." I shrugged putting the book on the shelf before hearing a knock from my door.
"Alastair! Zariel, c'mon we're saying goodbye!" Musa's voice sounds as Alastair grabbed the bag and we made our way out of my room seeing the other girls with their respective bags in the living room.
"Sorry for taking so long." I apologized as everyone approached each other.
"No worries! Now let's all see each other in one week!" Stella exclaimed as we all joined in a group hug with Alastair wrapping around us.
"Yes, let's!" Flora agreed as everyone else gave hum in agreement.
Separating from the hug, Flora approached me as the others went their respective ways.
"Zariel, you previously asked me for this. I just managed to finish the extra batch." Flora said as she handed me a small vile with the elixir that we previously used at the Black Mud Swamp.
"Thank you! Now when we arrive at Phrixus I can give it to the medical team!" I exclaimed hugging Flora.
"No problem. At least I know that it will be used for good." Flora explained as we separated from the hug and said our goodbyes.
