Louella sat with Robin at lunch that day.

"Hey, you're in band," Lou said to her friend.

"Mhm, you wanna join?"

Lou spotted a pen tucked behind Robin's ear and took it.

"Hey!"

"Shh. Keep it down. I'll come after school and give it back to you, okay?"

"But I'll be at- ohhh... who are you trying to get a look at?" Robin grinned.

"No one." she smiled back.

"Okay, fine. I'll figure it out. I'll crack you just like that Russian code."

"Sure you will."

They went back to eating their lunch and chatting about how Steve was failing to pick up any chicks. At one point, something hit Louella's head. It was light so she didn't pay much attention to it. Probably just an accident. Then, it happened again. She looked down at where the small object had landed on the ground behind her. A pretzel. Odd. She looked around the lunch hall and spotted Eddie sitting at a table not far from them. He seemed very interested in a spot on the table. And then she noticed the bag of pretzels beside him. Oh, he was so dead.

Louella turned to Robin,

"Can I have you your apple?"

"What? Why?"

"Come on! You never eat them anyway, they're the shitty tasting ones."

"Fine." Robin groaned, passing it to her.

Louella took out her knife, startling her friend.

"Shit, Lou!" she lowered her voice, "Why the fuck do you have a knife?"

"That's not important." she responded as she carved a message into the red flesh of the fruit.

"Not imp- you're unbelievable."

'I will slit your throat - Lou xx'

She admired her work before aiming and throwing the apple at him. It hit his bag of pretzels, crushing them, and scaring the absolute shit out of him.

When he had read her message, looked up at her, but she had already gone back to talking with Robin. However, her hand was raised in his direction, middle finger up. He let out a small laugh and went back to what he was doing.

After school that afternoon, Louella had waited behind to "give Robin her pen back". She didn't know why she wanted to see him so badly. He was coming over to her house in a couple of hours.

As she walked toward the music room, she heard various instruments playing. She could make out a few: trumpet, clarinet, trombone, saxophone, drums, piano... electric guitar. For a high school band, they played pretty well.

She rested against the wall beside the door to the classroom, listening, waiting for them to stop playing. A couple of minutes later, the music came to an end, and she knocked before entering. She spied Robin first, standing beside a redhead. Robin was too busy staring at her to notice Louella in the doorway.

She turned to the teacher,

"Sorry to interrupt!" in the corner of her eye she noticed someone quickly turn around to face her, "I forgot to give my friend her pen back!"

"Quickly then, please." the teacher said.

"Robin" she hissed.

Her friend tore her attention away from the other girl and to Lou. She walked further inside the classroom and handed Robin the pen. As she went to leave, she turned her head and saw Eddie staring at her, eyes wide. She offered him a small smile before saying to the teacher,

"Thanks. Once again, so sorry for interrupting. They sound great, though."

She left the classroom, her heart beating fast. Why'd I do that? I literally saw him for a second. A second! She sighed, shaking her head. Just as she was about to push through the school doors, she heard someone shout out her name from down the hall. She turned to see Eddie running after her.

"Hey," he said to her.

"Hi," she said back.

"I got your message at lunch today."

"Mhm. Throw a pretzel at me again and I swear to god, Munson, I will make that threat very real."

He threw his hands up in surrender,

"Alright, alright. I hear you loud and clear!"

She smiled a little,

"I was thinking about maybe ordering pizza tonight. What do you think?"

"I think that it's starting to sound like a date."

She scoffed,

"In your dreams. But seriously, pizza? Yes, or no?"

"Yes. Always, yes. Just nothing with pineapple. And something with meat on it."

"Really? Eddie "The Freak" Munson doesn't like pineapple on pizza? That's not very "freaky" of you."

"Oh, sweetheart, I'll show you freaky."

She laughed, hitting him on his chest,

"You're disgusting. But no pineapple and something with meat is noted. Now, you should probably get back to band. I'll see you tonight, yeah?"

"You bet."

As they both walked away from each other, they couldn't help but grin like little kids on Christmas morning.

Robin had noted Eddie re-entering the classroom, smiling, and blushing bright red. Interesting she thought.

Louella had hopped in the shower right after she'd gotten home. She couldn't stop thinking about him though. Too many times had she realised how dangerously close her fingers were to the apex of her thighs. Fuck. She couldn't be feeling this way. It's been two months! That's not enough time. But his smile. His laugh. His hair. His rings. She couldn't help but think about how his hands would feel against her skin. The coldness of his rings. His lips caressing- Fuck!

... I'm going to hell.
