Chapter 9 Confusion

Mr. Jericho del Fuego was being confused lately. He was well known and popularly tagged as the most notorious playboy Bachelor in town, but why is it he is quite confused with Teacher Maria after their first dinner date?

He wasn't like this. He doesn't care about any of his previous women but he was now holding his mobile phone and starting chatting with Teacher M, "Hi, good morning ! How are you? Are you heading for work now?" he was still not sending the message as he was still confused about his feelings towards her.

"It shouldn't be like this. I must not feel this way towards her," he told himself. While still thinking of sending his message to her suddenly his mother approached him and told him to accompany her to the mall.

"Echo will you please come with me to the mall? I need to buy something," his mother asked him.

Echo accidentally pressed the send button on his mobile phone and his message was directly sent to Teacher Marias.

"Ooh fuck!" he wanted to delete it but it was already sent and Teacher Maria read it already.

"How dare you bad-mouthing me, "his mother raised her voice when she heard Echo's reaction.

Echo immediately approached his mother," Nope Mom. It wasn't intended for you. I accidentally pressed my phone when you approached me and I can't get it back. It wasn't supposed to be sent," he explained to his mother while kissing her cheeks. He doesn't want to offend her mother, she was his first love and the only woman who was not on his list of offending. He respected his mother so much.

Mrs. del Fuego was easy to please especially by her only son Echo.

"Are you sure? I thought you are mad at me. I am just asking your presence to accompany me at the mall," she asked him.

"Of course Mom. I won't ever offend you. I love you so much Mom," he hugged his mother, 'Let',s go/," he asked.

Echo always obeys his mother. He never wanted to offend or disappoint her. She was the only queen in his heart.

"I'll just prepare the car Mom," he said to his mother while heading to their garage.

"Okay, I'll wait for you then," she said while smiling at her son.

Mrs. del Fuego was a very refined and loving mother and wife. The elder Mr. del Fuego loves her so much and so her son as well.

She was against his son being tagged as a playboy or womanizer. He knew that her son hadn't found the right woman for him yet. She knew that her son was a loving person. When he met the right woman for him, she knew that her son will love her so much.

Mrs. del Fuego then rides inside Echo's car. They looked like siblings as Mrs. del Fuego was a sophisticated woman and she looked younger than her real age of 55. She looked like at her early 30s only. Jericho was so proud of her mother's looks everyone other's thought that she was his girlfriend or his sister. He somewhat wanted his real girlfriend to be like his mother.

But when he thought of Teacher Maria, she's beautiful she is really beautiful especially when you stare at her for a long time. She is quite the real opposite of his mother. Mrs. del Fuego is an elegant and sophisticated woman, smart, and can stand out among the crowd. Teacher Maria was a naive nerd type, who was not lack in fashion category but a simple woman who wears simple clothing. He can't see any accessories on her body when they were together except for a small pair of earrings then.

Even if his mother walks through, men will be fascinated with her looks and scent. She owns her elegant scent. Teacher Maria's scent was a natural feminine floral scent which made him long for her scent and he doesn't even know why.

When they reached the mall, he let his mother stroll around and pick her choices of brands. His mother loves clothes and fashion.

"Mom, I'll just have my coffee at Starbucks. Message me if you're done," he said.

"Okay, I'm planning to have my collagen facial later and a body spa I guess," she said.

Jericho nodded and smiled at his mother. He used to be his mother's chaperone every time she goes to the mall. He will just wait for her to finish otherwise she will scold him if he went out of the vicinity and she can't find him.

The only woman who made him wait for too long was always his mother. Only her and he can't offend her. He loves his mother so much.

While heading to the Starbucks coffee, he bumped in with a clumsy girl who spilled her hot coffee over his polo shirt.

"Shit!" he yelled as it was really hot and his chest was burning.

"Oooops, I am so sorry," the lady's small hands started to tap his chest.

"Hey, you are hurting me more," he said while pushing her hands.

When their eyes met, Jericho was shocked as well as the lady in front of him. She was not other than. Teacher Maria.

"Echo, I am sorry," she said.

"It's okay. I am sorry too for yelling at you. I was just hurt but it's okay now," he said while reaching her hands and caressing those. He was so sorry that he almost push her a while ago. It's an instinct.

"I'll help you," she said while wiping his shirt with a tissue.

"No, it's okay I'll just buy another shirt so that I can change it," he said. He pitied looking at her guilty eyes.

She was about to cry as she felt sorry for what she did. Echo saw it and he started to wipe her eyes.

"Hey, no worries, I'm fine. It's just an accident," he said to comfort her. He can't afford to see her crying.

"I'll buy you a shirt," she offered even if she knew that his choice of brand is quite expensive and she had only an ample penny in her wallet.

"Okay, just help me find a shirt and I'll buy it. You don't need to pay for my shirt okay," he said.

Maria then helped him look for a shirt. She was so shocked when they entered Guess boutique and he picked shorts worth a lot of money. It is just a simple shirt and it cost almost 5 months of her salary. Good thing he doesn't accept her offer to buy him a shirt otherwise she will consume all of her savings.

Echo smiled when he saw how Maria swallowed her saliva when he was paying his bill already.

He even bought her a white dress which he thinks will fit her well. He bought it when Maria went to the restroom.

When she comes back. Echo invited her to have a cup of coffee then he gave her a paper bag.

She was overwhelmed when she saw it was the white dress she was looking at at the boutique a while ago.

"Why are you giving this to me? I was the one who was supposed to buy you a shirt. I can't accept it, It isn't my birthday either," she tried to return it to him but he refused.

"I've already bought it and it's my gift for you okay? Please accept as it is," he gave it back to her and hold her hand.
