Chapter 31 Carla's Drastic Moves

Carla, on the other hand, was so furious when she learned that Jericho was already dating and worst brought a woman already in his ancestral home.

"It was supposed to be me. Who was that woman? She is stealing my man!" Carla threw her mobile phone after searching for Jericho's photos on social media.

She had browsed several photos of Jericho with Maria.

"She was just a nerd lady, my gosh. Where did Jericho catch this ugly woman?" she continued drinking her shot of Cuervo from the hotel she checked in.

"I won't allow her to ruin my plans. My baby needs Jericho and his wealth," Carla gritted her teeth while drinking too hard.

Ring... Ring...

Carla's other mobile phone rang.

When the name appeared on her mobile phone, she smiled and answered it.

"Yeah, hello Bradley," Carla said.

"I've been trying to reach you since a day ago, but I haven't reached you. Where the hell are you?" the man calling her yelled.

"Will you stop nagging me," Carla yelled at him as well.

"I am looking for a wealthy man to father our child," she straightly informs the biological father of her unborn child.

"What? I am the father and you are still looking for another? How dare you?" Bradley was so pissed off with his live-in partner Carla. He had been with Carla for about 5 months already. He loved Carla so much despite her inconsistency and materialism.

Bradley was an ex-convict and Carla's childhood friend.

"Look, Bradley. You can't give us the things we want. But don't you worry, I will just get everything from this man and leave him afterward. I just want to secure the future of our child," Carla explained to Bradley. She also loves Bradley as he was the only man who accepted her for who she is and the only one who understands her.

Bradley couldn't understand Carla lately. He used to accept her for who she is as he loved this woman so much. He had been involved in crime when he rescued Carla from a sex maniac. He accidentally killed the culprit leading him to be in prison for almost 5 years. He had a pardon as had cleared his name.

His family disowned him when he came out of the prison ward. It was Carla whom he knew will help him and she adopted him. They were already living in the same place in Caliraya.

He couldn't find a decent job for now due to his record. That's why Carla was the one shouldering everything for them.

He wasn't aware that Carla's job was escorting business tycoons and top-caliber politics to survive and live the way she used to.

He doesn't want Carla to endorse their unborn child to anybody else. If only Carla will be content with the life he can give to her, it will be easier for them to live happily.

"Please, Bradley, don't try to intervene with my plans. It will be for the both of us and our child," Carla was almost scratching her hair already. She loved Bradley but he can't give her the things she want. She doesn't want to lose Bradley either.

"Carla, I am deeply against your idea. I don't want my child to be endorsed with anybody else," Bradley was so pissed off already. He wanted to go to Carla but he doesn't even know where the hell she was at the moment.

Carla was a bit pissed off already with Bradley as well. He will be a great hindrance to her plans. She turned off her mobile phone.

She will deal with Bradley after she executed her plans with Jericho.

Even if Jericho would not marry her, she will make it a point that her unborn child will be recognized by Jericho as his child. She will do everything to make it happen.

Carla has an OB-Gyne friend and she will visit her tomorrow to help her with the documentation. She was assured that Jericho and his family will conduct a DNA test for her unborn child. She won't allow them to discover her big secret.

"I will get what I want first," Carla smiled devilishly.

On the other hand...

Bradley was so hurt when he can't reach Carla any more. He checked his mobile phone's locator to locate Carla's whereabouts.

He won't allow Carla to do such drastic moves as it will harm their unborn child as well.

He is willing to distance Carla and let her live with him. He doesn't want Carla to be eaten by her materialistic personality.

He knew Carla's sufferings since she was a child. Being neglected by her own family and sold to a businessman as payment for her family's debts.

He was in prison when he learned that. He almost broke his heart after he knew Carla's life when he was in prison. He promised to save her when he will be freed.

Now that he was freed already, he will do his best to save Carla, especially since she was already carrying their unborn child.

He already got the exact location of Carla. He will go to Batangas tomorrow morning to prevent Carla from the big trouble she will be facing soon.

"I won't allow you Carla to do any harm to other people, especially to our unborn child," Bradley said to himself.

Bradley packed his things this evening and will go to Batangas early morning tomorrow.

He wanted to live a happy life with Carla. But first, he must correct Carla. She should feel that she was loved and taken care of. He was willing to do everything for Carla.

Carla wasn't in favor of Bradley intervening with her plans.

After she got some money from Jericho, she will ensure that her child will be having child support from the Del Fuegos.

She slept soundly as she had plans already for tomorrow. She will visit again the Del Fuego's ancestral house and make a scene.

She doesn't care even if Jericho's mother had the impression of her already.
