Chapter 33 Maria Brokedown

Maria was terribly bleeding upon reaching the hospital. She was immediately attended too by the medical team of Metro Lemery Hospital in Batangas.

"I can't forgive myself if something happened to my Maria and my child," Jericho bursts out crying. He felt so guilty about what happened awhile ago.

He wanted to punch Carla. She totally ruined his relationship with Maria and to his parents.

Mrs. Del Fuego was so disappointed and mad at Jericho. She can't forgive her own son either if something happened to Maria. She was almost her daughter and she wasn't fully recovered yet.

"How dare you get involved with that trash woman? As much as I wanted to understand you, I just can't," Mrs. Del Fuego was crying so loud as she hitting Jericho in his head.

"Stop it! Stop it! It won't help. Let's get pray for Maria's safety and our unborn grandchild to recover from this?" Mr. Del Fuego hugged his wife and detouched away from their son.

He understood his son. He had been in the same situation before and he wanted to help him.

"My son. I understand you but you have to fix this thing as early as now. Talk to that woman and have a DNA test if necessary . There's an advance medical procedure now to get the result as early stage like this," Mr. Del Fuego said to his son.

He doesn't want his son to be left alone. He won't allow either that his son's family will be ruined by someone else.

"Thanks Dad," Jericho wiped aways his tears and hugged his father.

His mother went to the operating room's door and trying to look at the window.

"You can't see MAria there," Mr. Del Fuego hugged his wife once again. He know how his wife worried a lot for Maria. Mrs. Del Fuego has a good heart and she genuinely love Maria as her real daughter already.

His wife wanted to protect Maria and he knew it.

"I am so worried," she said to her husband.

"Let's go to chapel and pray. Only God can solve Maria's misseries," Mr. Del Fuego held his wife's hand and they both walked inside the hospital's chapel.

The elder Del Fuego couple knelt and prayed for Maria and her baby's recovery and safety.

Meanwhile, Jericho went outside the hospital and took his cigarette. He was so depressed and he wanted to punch Carla on her face. He knew that he used protection all the time and he was confident enough that Carla's unborn child was not his.

He immediate get his mobile phone and called his friend from an Investigation Agency. He asked his friend to help him for an immediate investigation of Carla and her background. He won't allow anybody to ruin his relation with Maria. They will be family soon and all he wanted was to have a complete family just like his own family.

"Alright, brother. I will make it an urgent case,. I will give you a feedback the soonest time possible," Carlo told Jericho.

"I want the result tomorrow Morning," Jericho gritted his teeth while talking to his friend.

"Alright then, as you wished brother," Carlo replied. He knew Jericho's temper. His friend couldn't wait for the result for that long.

"Where are you?" Carlo asked him.

"I am here at the hospital as my fiancee Maria was having a miscarriage. She was still under the operating room," Jericho said.

"Why? Is this girl, Carla had something to do about it?" he asked.

"Yeah, so make your investigation's result as early morning tomorrow," Jericho said.

As much as he wanted to run to Carla now and do his own thing, he couldn't. He can't leave Maria and their unborn child at this state.

Jericho ended his call and went back to hospital's lobby.

His heart is aching so bad as Maria was almost in the OR for more than an hour already.

He was so worried. Maria wasn't recovered from her depression after loosing her parents and now, she back in the hospital and might loose their unborn child.

He closed his eyes and the memories of Maria's profuse bleeding was still coming back to his mind again and again.

Until, the Operating Room's door opened and the OB Gyne came out..

Jericho immediately walked forward to Dra. Madrigal.

"How's my wife doctor?" He asked worriedly.

The doctor replied, "your wife has a delicate pregnancy. She is in a state of coma now."

Jericho was shocked.,"Nooooo!"

"The babies were almost lost, but we have saved them. Your wife is carrying two babies, Mr. Del Fuego. You have twins and they must be taken cared off while the mother was still in coma," the doctor said.

Jericho was much worried now. He thought that they have lost their baby but then it came out that they have have almost two babies instead. What a fate?

Maria was in coma. She should be awaken.

"Doctor, how can we awaken Maria. Are the babies safe even if the mother was in coma?" Jericho cried.

"They were all in danger. As your wife is in state of coma, we could not just administer too much doses of medicines to her as the two fetus might be broke down as well," the doctor explain to Jericho.

"We have to pray hard for the safety of your wife and your twins. We will do our best to save all of them," the doctor straightly said it to Jericho.

Jericho gritted his teeth while thinking of Carla once again. She almost took three lives from him. His wife, Maria and their twins.

"I will make you pay hard on what you did Carla," he said to himself.

Meanwhile...

The elder Del Fuego couple now were talking to the doctor and they have learned that Maria was carrying twins.

They were so happy and yet got so worried upon learning that Maria was in a state of coma.

"How can our grandchildren survive? Oh my God?" Mrs. Del Fuego almost broke down. Her first grandchildren will be developed as their mother was struggling for life.

"We will continue to pray and asked our religious team to conduct a prayer vigil for Maria and our grandchildren. The Lord will hear our prayers," Mr. Del Fuego comforted his wife. He was so worried with his daughter in law as well.

He took a look at his son Jericho and he felt that his son needed someone to talked to at this moment.

He will settle his wife first and let her sleep in their VIP room in the hospital. They will stay with Maria and Jericho.
