Chapter 15

FAST FORWARD

Eleven's POV

I woke up from a voice that was coming from my walkie talkie "Hey, helloo??" She said. It's Max. I picked it up, "Hello?" I said with a sleepy voice, "D-Did i woke you up?" She said, "Yeah, but it's okay." I said "Oh, I'm sorry about that. But I was wondering if we can hang out or go to the arcade?" She said, "Sure." I said "Okay. Call me if you're finished, I'll go there." She said, "Alright." I said abd put down the antenna. I brushed my hair and then changed my clothes and brushed my hair again.

As I held the doorknob, someone knocked. "Kid, Mike's here to talk to you." Dad said, Mike? Why? How do I tell him that I like someone else? And that someone I like is Max? Do i say it straight away? I'll say it straight away.

I heard two knocks again "He's waiting." Dad said. I decided to stay silent, I turned the doorknob and went out if my room. First person I saw was Mike. Obviously. "Hi." I said as I take a seat beside him. "I'm sorry." He said "For what?" I said, not making an eye contact with him "for lying. I lied." he said "I know." I whispered but enough for him to hear. "Right. Can we still fix this? Can we still get back together?" He said, I looked down and played with my fingers, I nodded side to side. "What? Why?" He said confused why I disagree. "It's just- I like someone else." I said "Who?" He said "Max..." I whispered but again enough for him to hear. "But Max is a girl though?" He said looking at me. "Mike..." I said as I looked at him with a Dont-you-understand? look "Oh..." He said and looked away, "Oh.." I said repeating what he said.

Is he mad? I hope he understands. "It's okay. I understand." He said, I hugged him. "Thank you." I said. He hugged me back and said that he understands, I'm glad that he understands. He broke the hug, "Well I'll be going now. I hope we can still be friends." He said and smiled, I smiled back. He stood up "Well goodbye now." He said still smiling, he stood there for like 3 seconds and left. I saw him left while I saw Max come in the house as he left. "Hey." Max said, I looked at Dad while Dad looked at me and made his eyebrows go up and down, I chuckled. I looked back to Max, "Let's go don't mind him." I said and giggled. I stood up and grabbed my skateboard, and me and Max left the cabin.
