Underverse 0.3 part 1

Y/N stays still and tries to relax. She notices Cross squirming abit, so she looks at him, then notices, with her Wakfu vision, that XChara isn’t there. Y/N raises her guard and prepares for the worst. Cross suddenly jerks awake, and carefully puts you next to him.
“HAHAHAHA! I knew this would work. Now you’ll be the one who hides behind me…Hm…Let’s see…How can i use your powers? It feels odd having a monster body, but it doesn’t matter. Once i get my human soul, i’ll be able to have lots of fun!!! As well as protect what’s o u r s~ S W E E T D R E A M S D E A R F R I E N D” ‘Cross’ said
Y/N got unvered by all of this, and was silently ready to knock them out if she had to, but that wasn’t necessary when a bone suddenly impaled Cross’s left eye socket. He stood there for a few seconds, before his hand twitched and he touched the bone and it went back into the ground. He held his skull, and you got up and gently pulled his hand away from the socket before the wound got worse. Y/N eyed Cross carefully, before putting her hand on his eye socket and healing it. Cross smiled at you, before kissing your cheek. Y/N blushed and her hat ears lifted up.
“...Chara? Hey, kiddo!...Chara!?” Cross said, panicked
Cross suddenly teleported to a mirror, and looked at himself. Y/N walked over, and then her hat ears lowered when Cross started to laugh insanely.
“Haha…you’re knocked out! Finally…I got rid of you, stupid kid!!!” Cross said, excited
“Do you like talking to yourself?” Nightmare said, appearing out of nowhere
Y/N had jumped, not expecting him to appear again so soon and suddenly. Cross had also jumped and looked at Nightmare.
“N-nightmare!!!” Cross said, startled
“Are you surprised to see me? What did you expect? That i would take you wherever you wanted and then i wouldn’t come back until you called me as if i were a dog?” Nightmare asked
“At least i don’t have to beg you to help me come back to my world. I can do it on my own.” Cross said
Y/N looks at Cross, somehow knowing the next words out of his mouth would be a mistake somehow. Y/N then looks at Nightmare, silently wondering what is going through that skull of his since she would occasionally catch him looking at her.
“Whatever, i want you to take me to the next world…it’s called under-” Cross started
Cross got cut off by Nightmare’s tentacle wrapping around him, and then Cross got slammed into the mirror, causing it to shatter and you to gasp.
“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TRYING TO DO?! IDIOTS LESS PATHETIC THAN YOU HAVE TRIED TO FOOL ME WITHOUT SUCCESS. DON”T THINK THAT YOU”LL BE THE FIRST IDIOT WHO’LL DO IT. I TOLD YOU NOT TO KILL ANYBODY. I NEED EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE ALIVE TO USE THEM FOR YOUR STUPID PURPOSES! DO YOU THINK THAT I’M HELPING YOU JUST BECAUSE I LIKE YOU?” Nightmare yelled in rage
Y/N’s hat ears lowered as she saw this, and she went to help but a tentacle blocked her way. She looked over and her ears lowered more when she saw the look Nightmare was giving her.
“As for you, you got knocked out easily and i want to see your true potential. If you keep this up i will send you somewhere where you are forced to fight” Nightmare said, not pleased in the slightest.
Y/N backed down and tried to keep in the whine of fear, but she knew that Nightmare could sense it.
“I-I don’t want to kill anybody…I-i’m just taking the code of each world to establish mine…I-I just threatened to kill them so that they would leave us alone.” Cross said, struggling
“Okay…don’t get to scared…i’ve just had a sudden rage…you’re both pale…i’m just asking you two to fulfill your side of the deal” Nightmare said, retracting his tentacles
“We don’t want you to get hurt, do we? Now, tell me the again the name of the place you want to go…Ah, just one more thing. If i see you doing something that might break the deal. I personally will make you relive the death of your universe again and again until you no longer have any desire to keep living your stupid life and i will take Y/N with me and you will never see her again. Do i make myself clear?” Nightmare asked, looking over his shoulder at the two
The two of you nodded and Nightmare teleported the three of you to another au. You looked around and noted that it was a True Pacifist timeline.
“Do what you must. You have been warned” Nightmare said
Before Nightmare left, he quickly gave Y/N a kiss on the cheek, causing her to blush and squeak in surprise and Cross to glare in jealousy. Currently, you and Cross were behind some boxes and Cross was looking out from behind them while you were looking at the buildings in wonder.
“...Is this the Surface? It’s pointless…I can’t use the hack if Chara is not awake. I guess i’ll just work for Nightmare meanwhile…” Cross said
“The surface is beautiful! I really hope we can get ours back…” Y/N said, abit depressed
“ WELL, WELL, TAKING A BREAK ON YOUR WORKING SHIFT, LITTLE BRO? AND WHO IS THIS?” a voice said
Y/N and Cross jumped in surprise and looked at the skeleton. Y/N ears lowered because he looked like Papyrus but with an orange hoodie instead of his usual outfit. The Papyrus look-a-like seemed to realize that Cross wasn’t who he thought he was and smiled slightly.
“OH! SORRY. I CONFUSED YOU WITH MY BROTHER…YOU LOOK A LITTLE BIT LIKE HIM AND YOUR FRIEND SEEMS SHY, I WON’T BITE…I NEVER SAW YOU TWO AROUND HERE…WHATEVER, NICE COSTUMES, THOUGH HALLOWEEN IS OCT-OVER BUDDY. NYEHEHEH. I CAN SEE YOU’RE A LITTLE TIRED. YOU’RE LUCY. I’VE FOUND A TACO SHOP NEARBY. SO I BOUGHT SOME FOR MY BROTHER. BUT I CAN SHARE ONE WITH YOU OF YOU WANT” The papyrus look-a-like said
The orange hoodied skeleton extended the bag toward Cross and Cross looked at it with small eyelights. Y/N walked over and nodded at Cross, encouraging him to take the taco bag. The Papyrus look-a-like smiled and took a taco out of the bag while smoking a cigarette.
“HERE. HUMANS ALSO MAKE THEM, AND THESE HAVE JUST BEEN MADE” The Papyrus look-a-like said
Cross lunged at the taco, and you silently wondered how his teeth got sharp. Cross grabbed the taco and finished it in a few bites while Y/N laughed silently in the background at the Papyrus look-a-like’s face.
“ARE YOU SURE YOU REALLY DON’T KNOW MY BROTHER SANS? I THINK…YOU THREE COULD BE GOOD FRIENDS- NO, STOP! THIS IS MINE!” Papyrus look-a-like said
Y/N laughed harder at Cross trying to get the chocolate.
“Hey, you two! Don’t waste time and come here to help!” a battle scarred Assistant said
“I like your new look, Sans and who is the girl next to you?” a robot who looked like they could be Mettaton’s cousin said
“NAH, HE’S NOT MY BRO, NAPSTATON. HE’S AN INTERESTING LITTLE BUDDY, ALONG WITH HIS GIRLFRIEND” Papyrus look-a-like said
At this point you have walked over and stood next to Cross, and saw how his eyelights shrunk, and knew what was going to happen next if a Toriel look-a-like appeared. You two got a flashback of XTale before it faded as a motherly voice cut in.
“Howdy everyone! I brought a little something for you. Oh! Hello young one! Is everything okay? Would you like some pie?” a Toriel look-a-like asked
Cross and Y/N closed their eyes before opening them, being reminded of the mission. Cross suddenly lashed out and cut the Toriel look-a-like’s cheek with a bone.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING?” the Papyrus look-a-like asked
Y/N didn’t respond and swung her scythe at him, cutting his sleeve.
“I must continue with the job…b r o t h e r” Cross said, eyelights ignited
Y/N and Cross nodded at each other and started to attack the city. You used your portal blasters and Cross used his Gaster blasters and bones. The Assistant look-a-like couldn’t stop you two. The trees were destroyed and so were some buildings.
“QUICK, GET OUT OF HERE!” the Papyrus look-a-like said
“Oh, no. You won’t get away that easily.” Cross started.
“This world need panic and hatred from all of you” Y/N finished
Cross summoned his Gaster Blaster and blasted the building tops, causing them to crumble on the Papy look-a-like and the other humans., but unfortunately the two Cross look-a-like’s from earlier showed up and blasted the rubble away with their own Gaster Blasters.
“WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?” Orange said
“Long story bro- I mean buddy. Just stay close” Sans said
“You…AGAIN?” Cross said, highly annoyed
“W-wait! Why are you doing this…” a skeleton you could only describe as a blueberry said.
Y/N noticed that Ink was there as well and growled, but she also noticed that there was another Chara as well.
“Did anybody do something bad to you?” The Blueberry asked
Cross eyelights went back to their normal color, but you stayed on guard and looked around, in case anybody tried to attack while Cross was distracted.
“...I know, Cross and Y/N…This AU…this pacifist timeline…It probably reminds you two of a lot of things, doesn’t it? I’ll fail again if i tell you two to stop, but…Do you think that it’s fair to do…the same thing that HE did in your world? You’re messing up the timelines modifying their course by force just for a silly whim….I can’t let that happen again…” Ink said
Y/N glared at Ink, while Cross smirked with his eyes shadowed.
“...who told you that…You don’t know anything about me, Ink. My prize is taking parts from these places to my world…the perfect home that you refused to give me back…You also won’t scare me if you talk about Gaster…I don’t care of he still exists…all that matters now is my world and Y/N. HE won’t be in my new world. Chara tried to be smarter than me, but i’ll be the one who’ll have control over this body forever. He’s currently not here, but it doesn’t mean that i’m weaker and i’ll give up.” Cross said
Y/N is preparing an attack.
“It’s not about that,C.. The X-event can’t last forever…it’s just a game. It’s not worth to alter the course of other stories..There’s no hope for your old world. I’m sorry…” Ink said
“Does that mean…that you don’t have a house? I have an idea!! Now that we’re on the surface, that won’t matter! It’s never to late to have a new home and new friends!” Blueberry said, extending his hand
Cross’s eyelights were blank and Y/N wants to attack Ink, but waits to see what Cross will do first.
“I hate you all…” Cross said
Cross then lunged at Blueberry, but Edgy knocked him away with a bone. Y/N launched her attack at Edgy who just barely dodge it thanks to using his Gaster Blaster as a shield. Orange launched bones under Cross which sent him flying and then he almost crashed, but Y/N vaught him and sent him down carefully. Cross nodded at Y/N and Y/N nodded back. Y/N suddenly felt her soul being grabbed and she was launched into some bones and she watched as Cross went to get to her but got knocked around by the bones of Edgy and Orange. Y/N broke free from the bones and started to run over to Cross right as Sans appeared next to a down Cross.
“That was too easy” Edgy said
“I told you attacking him distracted would work” Sans said
“It was a great idea Sans” Ink said
Y/N tripped, and growled, but got up and made a portal to Cross and hopped through it right as Sans took his half of the soul back. Cross’s form flickered before settling on XChara. Edgy and Sans started to walk away, while Blueberry and the Chara look-a-like stayed. Y/N carefully kneeled down and held XChara, while holding her scythe as a warning that she will attack if they got to close. Apparenlty the Chara look-a-like is an idiot because they got close as XChara grabbed their arm.
“Oh, boy, you’ve made a huge mistake.” XChara said
XChara absorbed most of the Chara look-a-like’s soul, gaining 19HP. A purple explosion then happened, with you and XChara right in the middle of it. XChara returned into his normal self and OVERWRITE your wounds. XChara was now giving everyone smug looks while the wind was blowing, making your clothes and hair sway in the breeze.
“Greetings…Thank you for waking me up. I missed having a physical body…even if it is just the 95% of it. Cross was really silly all this time. He’s too easy to manipulate, don’t you think? He thought nothing like this would happen again, haha. But here I am.” XChara said calmly
“C-Chara..” Ink said, scared
“Wait…what’s with that look…? Did you really think i wouldn’t figure out your plan or that you have feelings for Y/N? I’m not letting you get to her Ink, none of us will. I guess you really didn’t want to see me again…Even though you always wanted to see the X-Event at it’s fullest…isn’t that right…O L D F R I E N D?” XChara said
Y/N prepares to attack if she needs to and notices how nervous Ink looks, and how suspiciously angry the other skeletons look.
“Ink, what’s going on here and what is he talking about?” Sans asked
XChara suddenly made a creepy face and you covered your ears as did the rest of the skeletons and humans. The surroundings turned white and black as Y/N uncovered her ears.
“WHAT…HAPPENED…WHERE ARE THEY?..” Orange asked
“Chara, your intentions are different from Cross’s. Drop that soul or i will be obligated to hurt you” Ink said, holding his paintbrush
Y/N holds no such obligations and launches an attack at Ink which hits, and then Ink gets restrained by Nightmare’s tentacles.
“Not so fast, Little brush. This guy…is full of surprises.” Nightmare said
Nightmare then separates Ink from his paintbrush. Y/N notices that the Blueberry looks scared for his friend, but you couldn’t bring yourself to care and you wondered why until you saw XChara giving you a look that you knew all to well. You gave him a look back and he sighed and pushes the OVERWRITE button again and you felt your emotions return. Once they return you gently wack XChara on the back of his head. XChara just grins playfully and then turns his attention on the other skeletons and humans.
“We were so grateful when you showed to Gaster, Y/N, and me the multiverse and it’s timelines…I always wanted to find an universe with similarities to mine, like this one…You’ve done a very good job protecting all these worlds, Ink. Whatever, it’s time to pay Nightmare back for his help. I’ll…ask what you saved for me later” XChara said
Ink gets scared and shouts ‘NO’, so you launch an attack that just barely misses Ink’s head.
“Ah…look how much despair is inside of you…But this is your fault and you know it…” Nightmare said
XChara raises his hand and a large knife appears. XChara raises the knife and stabs it into the ground, causing the ground to go from black to purple. Y/N’s hat ears twitched as she somehow felt the power of Stasis. Y/N wondered where it came from as a mental link with her dragon sister opened up.
‘Did you feel that Sister?’ Y/N asked
‘I did, and so did the others’ Willow replied
‘Where did it come from?’ Y/N asked
‘Where you are currently, and Mother has found a home for us. Get here quickly’ Willow said
‘I am currently in the middle of something sister, i will try my best to be there soon’ Y/N said
The mental link shut off and Y/N launched an attack at an attack that was headed her way. It caused an explosion. Y/N suddenly saw all the souls from that au, minus Blueberry, Orange, and the Chara look-a-like, teleport away to XTale.
“This pacifist timeline won’t be wasted as long as it has some suffering just like the old times…just with T H R E E O F T H E M. Better stories always have blood and tears…Am i right, Ink? The pacifist timeline of this AU deserves to be the best as mine was. Don’t worry! If we kill you by accident….I can fix it as if nothing had happened with something better than our old power” XChara said
Y/N got the mental image of the RESET button flickering into the OVERWRITE button as she prepared for a fight with XChara.
