┏°⌜ 048: Sunrise

You two were now standing in front of your room door.

"Thanks for the evening Eren, I really had a lot of fun!" You showed him a big smile

"Likewise." The brunette straightened his jacket "We should do that again at some point."

You opened the door "Sleep well Jaeger!"

"Sleep well L/n. See ya tomorrow."

He was about to go in the direction of his room, but then you had something on your mind.
"W-wait you forgot something!"

He turned around to look at you again and raised an eyebrow
"Mhm? What?"

Without even thinking about it, you grabbed his jacket and tugged it a little, causing him to bend down slightly, then you stood on tiptoe and placed a quick kiss on his right cheek

He placed his hand on his right cheek and started blushing, his face showing multiple emotions.
"W-what the-"

"Alrightseeyougoodnightbye!!"
Without looking at him again you rushed into your room and slammed the door.

Once the door was closed you leaned against it.

You did it. You actually did it.
You slowly sat down while your body was still leaned against the door until you sat on the floor. You bent your legs, hugged them with your arms and leaned your head on your knees.

This tingling in your stomach got stronger and stronger and your heart was beating so fast that it could burst at any moment.
You felt regret and joy at the same time.
Why does this make you so nervous? It was just a little good night kiss on the cheek... but did Eren like it? What if he thinks it was disgusting?

It took you a few minutes to collect yourself. After a while you got up again, went into your small bathroom and looked in the mirror.

Your makeup was a bit smudged because you cried earlier and your cheeks were stained red.

You ran some water in the sink and collected water with your hands. You splashed the water on your face and tried to wash off the makeup completely.
When your face was clean you quickly brushed your teeth, put on your sleeping clothes and went to bed.

Now the room was dark, but the moonlight illuminated the room a bit. You stared at the ceiling and tried to quiet your head to fall sleep, but it was easier said than done.

You closed your eyes and a song played in your head so you started to quietly humming it.

Must be ragged but I'll stay by your side

Even if my body is bleached to the bones

I don't want to go through that ever again.

While humming the song "Call of Silence" you feel how it relaxes you. It was almost like a drug. When you heard the song in the anime for the first time it gave you goosebumps, it was always special for you. Somehow it connects you as if the song was written for you.

It may sound strange, but this feeling is indescribable- but beautiful.

The birds were chirping and the sunlight was just shining over the walls, which means that it was probably just sunrise and it's still early in the morning.

The light of dawn seeped into your room. After you rubbed your bleary eyes you walked to the window and opened it. There was a pearly glow in the sky. The morning air was so fresh, it gave you goosebumps.
Golden fingers of sunlight lit up the scene. The just-risen sun shone softly on the streets of Shiganshina, bringing with it a flurry of early-morning activity.

It's much nicer to wake up like this than to be woken up by Floch, so you can at least enjoy the morning and give yourself time to freshen up and change clothes.

You were walking down the hallway, but when you wanted to go down the stairs, someone came towards you.

"Huh."
It was Floch. He looked at you in surprise
"Wooow, the princess woke up by herself. "

"Funny. Very funny." You didn't try to hide your sarcasm.
He really knows how to piss you off in under 5 seconds.

Floch casually crossed his arms
"At least that way we save time, I was just about to wake you up."

"That's very nice of you, but i don't need an annoying alarm clock."

"It's not my dream job either, so it's a win-win situation."
He turned around and walked down the stairs again.
"Let's go y/n. It's time for breakfast."

You just followed him
"Alright."
