Ymir inquired, noticing a troubled expression on your face as you both stood on the balcony of the castle, admiring the view of the kingdom of Paradis. She was dressed in her royal attire - a delicate, off-the-shoulder gown adorned with a flowing cloak and a shining golden crown. Meanwhile, you were clad in a white Peplos, a full-length garment.
As you gazed at her beside you, she observed your surprise, sensing that you were attempting to conceal your true emotions. "Is something on your mind, Libertas?"
She asked. You stammered in response, feigning nonchalance.
Ymir chuckled softly, her eyes sparkling with amusement as she reached out to gently tuck a stray strand of hair behind your ear. "Oh, dear sister, don't be coy. Is this about Eren?" she prodded.
Your cheeks flushed with embarrassment, realizing that your feelings were more transparent than you had thought. "I just want him to be happy, but..." you trailed off, unable to articulate the complexity of your emotions.
Understanding your unspoken turmoil, the blonde tenderly placed a hand on your shoulder. "It's not an easy thing, I know. But remember what I told you?" she prompted, her voice filled with wisdom and compassion.
Perplexed for a moment, you hesitated before recalling her words. "Um... it's not easy having kids?" you ventured uncertainly.
Ymir shook her head with a laugh. "No, dear one." she corrected gently, drawing closer and cupping your cheek in her hand.
"𝕐𝕠𝕦 𝕜𝕟𝕠𝕨 𝕨𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕥𝕠 𝕕𝕠. 𝕁𝕦𝕤𝕥 𝕝𝕚𝕤𝕥𝕖𝕟 𝕥𝕠 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕙𝕖𝕒𝕣𝕥."
With a sudden flutter of your eyelids, you found yourself positioned on the ship's bow rail, gazing out at the harbour and the distant statues.
As you stood on the bow rail of the ship, the cool sea breeze tousled your hair and carried the cries of seagulls in the distance. The sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of pink and orange, casting a warm glow over the statues that lined the harbor. The gentle lapping of the waves against the hull of the ship provided a soothing soundtrack to the moment, as the salty sea air filled your lungs with each breath.
"Excited to reunite with your parents?" Eren's voice broke through your reverie as he leaned casually against the railing beside you.
Hopefully he doesn't plan on wanting to see your 'parents' in Marley. But we all know what they say, lies will be exposed sooner or later...
You should have said that you were from somewhere else, but when Eren's parents asked you, you couldn't think of anything better at the moment.
Your laughter bubbled nervously as you attempted to divert the conversation
"Uhm... Definitely, can't wait..." you replied, eager to shift the focus. "And what about your brother? Thrilled to see him again?"
Eren's response was nonchalant as he shrugged "Eh, i guess. He has a way of getting on my nerves sometimes."
A knowing chuckle escaped your lips as memories of their sibling rivalry flitted through your mind. "Pff, sounds like a real charmer." you quipped, recalling their banter and bickering.
"Mhmmm." The brunette said while rolling his eyes with a smirk "So, you're really set on selling the necklace? It's a nice piece – are ya sure you don't wanna keep it?"
"Yeah, it would help me financially. For my new life in Shiganshina I mean." You replied, gazing out at the vast ocean that no longer held the allure of Paradis Island.
"Hm, I see." Eren mused, following your line of sight. "Crazy that a necklace is worth so much. I mean, you just arrived in Shiganshina and now have to go back to your homeland just to sell it."
