┏°⌜ 053: Remember who the real enemy is

"Last on the list is Eren's and my unit."
Armin was writing something down on his paper
"As you know, our unit is responsible for finding Captain Levi and Zeke. So our people are spread all over the place and unfortunately it's not possible to go to everyone or even find them, but as far as i know there should be a small meeting right now."

"Well then we better go there!"

Armin nodded
"Alright, follow me!"

While you two were on your way to this meeting you had some thoughts about tomorrow. You will stand in front of many people and then officially show yourself as the symbol of freedom.
Just the thought of standing in front of so many people makes you nervous.
It's still so amazing that you're a big part of this Attack on Titan story, but that's also scary.

You also started getting homesick and missing your family and friends, but you can't go back, at least not yet.
Everyone in your world thinks you're in a coma, you wish that you could tell your parents and David that you are fine and that you will be back soon. They probably had to suffer so much, but unfortunately there was no other choice.

Armin stopped in front of a door
"Okay I think it's in this room."

His words tore you out of your thoughts
"Okay."

He knocked on the door before slowly opening it.
Armin went into the room first, you stood behind him.
He kinda blocked your view a little since he was taller than you.
What you could see was that the room looked like a classroom.
A map was drawn on the blackboard, it looked like Shiganshina. Several places were marked on the map with cirlces and crosses, probably that means where they have already searched or where they still have to go.

"Oh hey Armin."
This Voice. Your heart started beating faster for some reason
It sounded like-

"Hey Eren."
Armin kindly replied

So it's actually Eren.

The blonde turned a little to the side so that you could be seen.
As soon as Eren saw your face you could tell his eyes widened and his mood changed.

"Y/n! Nice to see you!"
He smiled like a happy child

"Likewise!"
Seeing him like that made you happy too.
Unfortunately, it is becoming increasingly rare for you to see him like that, but unfortunately, given the current circumstances, it is no surprise.

There were 10 other soldiers in the room, all gathered around you three and looked surprised but happy to see you.

No matter how much you wish to continue talking to him, but Eren and you have been busy and unfortunately there is no time for chat right now.

"Hello everyone! I'm sorry to disturb you at your meeting, but I think there should always be time for a little attention and appreciation."
You thought for a second what to say
"Your quest to find Zeke and Levi is extremely important and will change everything. Your hard work will probably save many lives. That's exactly why it's not only a physically difficult task, but also a mentally difficult one. I wish you the best of luck and thank you for your hard work!"

Everyone started clapping and were very kinda touched about your words and appreciated your presence. Even though you haven't done much it's obviously enough to make people happy. Sometimes it's just the little things.
