You and Jungkook finally step into the elevator and as soon as the door closes you let out a huge sigh.

You look over at Jungkook and he remains looking straight. You can tell he's thinking. You're annoyed. Why would he drag you into his personal drama? Not to mention, this involves work. You've worked hard to build a solid reputation for yourself. What would happen if people found out?

"Don't worry, I'll make sure halaboji keeps quiet and it won't affect you or your position." Jungkook says as if he read you mind. He's still looking straight and the elevators reach the bottom of the building and you both step out.

He turns to you. "I'm sorry for doing this to you, Y/N. I panicked. My halaboji has been setting me up with women since stepped down from my previous company." He looks at you apologetically.

"To be honest, he doesn't trust me to take over. I really want to show him that I'm ready. If you could just help me buy a little time to get him off by back. I could also stage the perfect breakup." Jungkook pleads. You look into his eyes. He's being genuine.

You calculate all the options in your head. There's no way the CEO would let you continue to work there once you break up, let alone face Jungkook at all. After evaluating each scenario you conclude that nothing benefits you.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Jeon. I can't do this. It doesn't feel right to sacrifice my work and reputation for your personal issues..." You bite your lip. It's for the best. He looks defeated. He understands. He's fighting within himself to stop you but he doesn't know what to say.

You fight the urge to take it back. There is something genuine about him that you can't shake, despite everything you know about him.

"I'm sorry, Y/N. I understand. I'll think of something to say to halaboji." He ends up saying and he looks down on the ground. "At least let me take you home." He offers.

"Thanks, Mr. Jeon. I appreciate your understanding. No worries about taking me home either. I was planning on walking home. I was going to stop by the water to have a bite." You give him a warm smile.

"Do you mind if I join you?" He asks. You stare at him. You didn't expect to see him today, let alone pretend to be his girlfriend, and then join you for early dinner.

"Surely you'd rather spend Sunday evening doing anything else." You say cautiously.

He smirks at you. "Surely I would, but hanging out with you wouldn't be so bad. Plus, I owe you for the mess I made with halaboji." He then flashes his dimple.

You smile back. I guess it won't be so bad. It's just because he made a mess. It's not a big deal. Some company would be nice.

"Hmmm, that would be nice Mr. Jeon." You nod in approval.

"Lead the way, Y/N. Please call me, Jungkook. We're out of the office." He asks politely.

"Let's go, Jungkook.." you smile shyly.

You walk across the street and head towards Hangang Park.

It is a beautiful evening. People were still outside enjoying the weather. You close your eyes and take a deep breath to enjoy the fresh air. You open your eyes and Jungkook is looking at you smiling. "I love this time of day." You say as you blush.

You reach one of the stands by the water and you look over at Jungkook. "Please, it's on me. Order whatever you like." You smile at him widely. You love to eat so it's hard to hide your excitement. He laughs while you order 1 of every single item on the menu.

You find a table to sit on and look at down at all the food. Jungkook looks at you with his eyebrows raised. "Let's eat."

Evening quickly turns into night while you eat. You and Jungkook talk about your careers. About how you joined the company, about his previous company, how he plans to become CEO. He has an impressive track record. You talk about your future goals. Jungkook hangs onto your every word. He gives you advice and treats you like an equal. Your heart starts to flutter the more you continue to talk. Relax, Y/N. He's your boss. He's meant to be a good listener.
