Friday

The work week flew by.

You and Jungkook visited the Kaja event set up and it went by smoothly. They appreciated you and the CMO being there as it made them feel important. The clients loved talking to you and thought you made a great team.

For the rest of the week, you and Namjoon worked together to finish up their project as well as a few others for the rest of the month.

On Thursday before the day ended, you offered to take your team out for a team dinner on Friday night for their hard work. Everyone seemed really excited.

It's finally Friday and your team is finishing up their last tasks for the day. You're sitting on top of Namjoon's desk talking about the dinner.

"Are you sure you can treat us all, Y/N?"

"Namjoon, you know I can. I am a director after all." You wink at him.

"How about I treat everyone to karaoke after?"

Jennie squeals.

You and Namjoon laugh and you hit his shoulder lightly. Namjoon smiles at you as he touches you thigh. The act is super innocent but you can't help but feel your heart flutter.

You notice at the corner of your eye someone outside your department. They catch you staring and they knock on the door.
It's Jungkook and it looks like he's been out there for a bit. You haven't really seen him all week. After he declined your embarrassing offer to stay over you've been mostly trying to stay away head down in your work.
Only talking to him during director meetings about work only.

"I hope no one is staying late today." Jungkook looks over to you and you're still sitting on Namjoon's desk. His jaw locks as he looks you up and down. He looks away and you stand up embarrassed.

"I was just over at the other departments offices and they've already left for the day."

"We were all just about to go to a team dinner. Miss Y/N is treating us." Jennie is super excited today.

You look at Jungkook shrugging and give a small smile.

"Mr. Jeon, you should come with us!" Jennie doesn't know when to stop.

You look at her in shock. You try to shake your head at her to take back the offer but Jungkook looks back at you.

"Hmmm that would be fun! But only if the director doesn't mind. I can definitely treat you all tonight. Consider it a gift for all your hard work, which should also include Miss Y/N." Jungkook winks at you.
You're immediately put off. You shouldn't be but you are. You of course can't say no to your boss.

"Of course, Mr. Jeon. The more the merrier."

You sit between Namjoon and your other coworkers, Jisoo and Yoongi while Jungkook, Jennie, and Tae sit across.

Jungkook immediately orders drinks for the table.

After some casual talking with a lot of drinking you are all are definitely feeling the alcohol now.

Thankfully there was a ton of food to help. You can't help but stare at Jennie and Jungkook flirt all night. You see her put her hand on his arm and laugh so loud at his jokes. You're not mad at her at all.

You don't know why but you feel a slight bit of jealously that he's giving her all the attention.
He loves it. He's a player, any attention fuels his ego.
Namjoon notices that you're distant. "You okay, Y/N?"
"I'm just feeling the alcohol." You smile at his concern.
"We still have karaoke, so don't get too drunk now." He puts his arm around your shoulder and you rest your head on his chest. You smile and lean into him more and sigh.
"I'm so excited for karaoke!" Jennie squeals loudly. We know, Jennie.
