THE GIRL

I could feel his steady heart beat, it calmed me down more than it should've, but I fell in love and being in love doesn't make sense.

I don't think I've ever felt this way about Steve before, Johnny was different than him. Maybe even better.

Shoot, who am I kidding, Johnny is way better.

At that moment, it occurred to me that I hadn't told anyone where I was going for the night.

The sun had set about three hours ago, so I guess it was eleven o'clock.
"Johnny, wake up." As much as I didn't want this moment to end, it was gonna have to anyways.
"What? What's wrong?" He asked, sitting up.
"Nobody knows where we are right now, we have to hurry!"
"It's okay, you go yourself." He said. "I'll stay here for the night."

I nodded and stood. "If you get cold or anything, just come on over." I kissed his head, then started down the street.

THE BOY

I watched her run down the street, then she soon disappeared into the darkness. She kissed me. That was the only thing I could think about.

Nobody has ever kissed me like that, not even my parents.

So this is what it's like to be in love?

THIRD PERSON

Darry grabbed the home phone, about to dial the police. He knew what that would mean, a boys home for his brothers and the girls home for his sister.

He didn't want that, but he needed to make sure his kid sister was safe.

"Just wait a little." Soda placed his hand on his older brothers shoulder, Soda looked tired and sad, just like how everyone else felt.

"Johnnys gone too." Dally fumed. "Why aren't you all thinking bout him too?"

Darry looked at him with a death glare. "Johnny is always gone, why would something happen to him now?" Soda chimed in, Dally mumbled profanities under his breath but laid off.

The door slammed open, revealing The Girl whose shoe laces were untied and her hair was messy in its high ponytail.

"Lolipop!" Soda sprung from where he was standing and grabbed her in a big hug, taking her by surprise.

"Where the hell have you been?" Darry stood from his chair, wrapping his arms around hai chest.

"Me and Johnny were talking in the lot." The Girl said simply.

"You've been gone for the whole day!" Darry belted.

"No I haven't! And if it wasn't for Steve then I would've been here the whole day!" The Girl yelled back.

All eyes turned to Steve, they already knew what had happened, but didn't think it was that bad.

"I love you, but you love Johnny!" Steve fumed. "And Johnny has never loved anyone before because he doesn't know what love is!"

The Girl stood there, frozen in shock. Johnnys never loved? He isn't capable of loving, huh?

"His parents despise him, dammit!" Steve walked to the door and slammed it shut, leaving everyone sitting and standing there in surprise.

"You love Johnny?" Soda looked at The Girl, who didn't know how to let words come out of her mouth.

She nodded, keeping her eyes on the door, not knowing what else to say. Everyone was quiet, the only noise heard was everyone's breathing.

THE BOY

It was getting freezing, I wrapped myself in my jacket but that didn't help the cold from creeping onto me.

I walked down the street, I could hear yelling from one of the houses down the road. I just assumed it was an angry couple. But it wasn't.

Steve went storming out of the house, his eyes were filled with hatred and anger.
"Steve?" My voice said quietly.

"She loves you." He stopped walking. "Lolipop loves you."

I looked at him like he was out of his mind. "She doesn't love me, she loves you." I said.

"You both love each other, and I'm glad you finally have someone to love." Steve placed his hand on my shoulder. "Take care of her for me."

With that, Steve started down the street.
