I woke up and looked around me. It seemed to be sometime before noon, however only Ollie and Molly were awake. Ollie was sitting at the front window the the curtain slightly pushed aside to look outside, and Molly was sitting at the bar on her phone.I felt a bit sick from all the alcohol I drank, and I also felt hungry. I got up and grabbed some food we brought and sat down next to Molly to eat. Her ears were a bit twitchy so I asked, "What's going on?"
She looked away from her phone and replied, "Nothing much. I tried to go back to sleep after Ollie woke me up but couldn't so here I am awake and annoyed."
"Why did he wake you up?"
"He woke up before me and thought he heard something outside so he woke me up to check it out since I'm an anthro that's bigger and stronger than him and other anthros won't bother me."
"Well was there anything out there?"
"Nope. I looked around and found nothing but a baseball that we slightly rolling on the ground."
"Oh, well it sucks you were woken up early." "I know."
After I finished eating my breakfast, I had nothing else to do so I just continued sitting at the bar next to Molly.
She eventually asked, "When we got into that fight at school, did you get too hurt?"
"No, why do you ask?"
"I just don't want a lawsuit." She joked.
I smiled and asked her, "What about you? Did you get injured by me?"
"I'm fine, but you did put up a better fight than the other people I fucked up."
After being reminded about how this wasn't the first time she did something like that, I asked, "Why did you kick those other guys asses?"
"They were a bunch of assholes, I don't hurt people unless they do something to annoy me. After everything I've been through I just don't like ignoring annoying pricks."
I was curious and asked, "What exactly did you go through?"
"My last town I lived at fucking sucked. After putting up with the abundance of assholes for a while I gave up and just started to get more physical."
"I know what that's like." I said thinking back to the orphanage and last school I went to.
We probably would've talked more but Ollie quietly called, "Hey Dan, can you come here?"
I walked over and sat down next to him.
"I think I saw something just now." He informed.
"Really?" I questioned.
"Yeah, I was looking down the road opposite of that one store over there, and in the corner of my eye was something peaking out of the alleyway next to it."
"What was it?"
"I don't know, I looked over and it was gone."
"If it's an anthro then stop peaking outside. Or get Molly to check like earlier."
"Fuck no, when she found nothing she got all angry and I thought she was going to beat the shit out of me. I'm honestly surprised she didn't."
"Well I don't know what to tell you then." I said while walking away.
"Wait, before you leave can you grab me an energy drink out of my bag?" He asked.
"Yeah, sure."
I walked over and opened his backpack that was sitting next to where he slept. Inside was some camping stuff like a small blanket, multi-tool, and matches. There was some food he packed for yesterday along with a couple energy drinks he took from the store.
