We woke up this morning and left the staff room to grab some stuff for breakfast. After that, we just hung out and talked for the next few hours until we had ourselves lunch. I spent a few hours on my phone and Everett and Molly showed me what apps to get and helped me set up some things. We had ourselves supper and now it's nighttime.

I volunteered to stand watch because we heard some anthros searching the store for food sometime before bed. It's been peaceful, but in an eerie way. Turning all the lights off in a store and getting rid of the sun so it's just a black void is terrifying. Coupling that with the eerie silence where I can sometimes think I'm hearing a commotion in the distance just makes it worse.

It wasn't until midnight before something happened. Flashing blue and red lights came down the road which made me nervous. They came to a stop in front of the store and I realized it was a police car. Two figures stepped out and looked around before a female voice spoke into a speaker.

"Hello? We're looking for any survivors to bring them out of this town, we presume there's someone in there." The voice said through the speaker. I checked on my friends who were woken up by the noise.

"What's happening?" Everrett asked.

"Some police car pulled up looking for some survivors to get them out of town," I explained.

"Really? Hell yeah." He excitedly said while getting up.

My tired friends started to grab their things to leave while my more awake self said, "Guys, this has to be a trick. No way they would send 2 officers to save survivors."

"You sure?" Everrett asked.

"Idiot, it was a female voice, and they probably suspect someone is staying here after getting chased here yesterday."

Everett thought about it for a second before saying, "Maybe you're right. But they might be humans instead of anthros so we should at least go check from a distance."

I sighed and said, "Ok, let's sneak over and make sure they're human or not."

We all slowly snuck down the dark aisles until we reached the front of the store. We looked through the big windows and saw two officers waiting behind their car, almost as if they were purposely hiding themselves.

"We know you're in the store, get out here so we can evacuate you. If you make us come in there you'll face a punishment." The voice warned.

"Yeah, I'm sure these are anthros." I quietly said.

"Maybe not," Everrett replied.

I sighed and angrily said, "I know you just woke up so you're not really in the right headspace right now, but you gotta admit that these are fucking anthros, no way are they someone else. No one is coming to save us, and that's just how- oh shit..."

I stopped talking because the two figures hiding behind the car revealed themselves and started walking towards the store. As expected, they were anthros that were in heat because they were heavily breathing, and they were also wearing police uniforms.

They slowly neared us and none fine moved. We were at the front window only 15 feet away from the front doors, and the fear of moving and giving us away kept us from trying to get back to the staff room. The officers turned on a couple of flashlights and shined them through the front windows. We kept our heads down as the light soared over us.

The officers reached the front door and walked in. They flashed their lights around and we remained unmoving. They moved away from the doors so I slowly began sneaking over to it with everyone following me. The officers walked down the aisles away from us so I felt safe slowly pulling the door open.
