Hailey- 'Haywood'

Most of us were way too scared to talk to Tal and Rascal after they went all freaky and lashed out on each other. Kendall didn't seem to mind too much that Rascal got possessed, as if this has happened before. With their luck it probably did.

The rest of the night was uneventful as Jay decided to get her sleep so she could be ready to pulmult me tomorrow. Her words. I, myself, was quite nervous. I didn't really want to hurt my sister. At all. Sage has it worse, though. She has Rascal to combat tomorrow.

In the morning, Jay didn't talk to me at all. When she's focused on something important, she blocks everything out. She either does that or gets distracted way too much. During all of our classes, the tension between me and Jay built up and up. I hated it, but I needed to focus more on the duel and less on my relationship with my sister.

By dinner, I could barely eat. I was too nervous. I looked over at Jay, she wasn't touching anything including the blue food. Sage was moving her food around on her plate. Rascal; however, looked pretty normal. He was eating, unlike the rest of us.

"Alright. Today's duels are Jay versus Hailey and Sage versus me." Rascal said as we all gathered by Hagrid's hut. He seemed pretty unshaken about what happened last night, unlike Tal. He came, but wanted to watch these duels from afar, so he won't hurt anyone else.

"You want to bet on the duels?" I heard Tori ask Kendall.

"Sure. I bet Hailey and Sage will win. Five drachmas and three sickles for Hailey. A galleon and drachma for Sage." Awe she betted more for me. Oh gods, she betted more for me.

"Really? That's a pansy move. You picked the weakest ones. They won't win. I'll easily bet on Jay and Rascal."

"Since when did you know about who wins?"

"Since my mom was the goddess of victory." I tuned them out, I need to focus. I don't want to hear their bickering. For the thousandth time this week.

Hey Hailey?" I turned to see Kendall behind me.

"Yeah."

"It's time for the duel. Are you okay? You seemed zoned off."

"I'm fine. Let's do this." I start walking towards where Jay and Rascal were.

"And Hailey?" I turned back to look at the brunette. "Whoop Jay's butt."

"I will." I jogged down to where the duel was meant to happen.

"Ready?" Rascal asked Jay, she nodded with concentration in her eyes. "Ready?"He asked me, I nodded. I walked about ten yards away from Jay. We then turned to face each other. I whipped out my wand so fast it was a blur.

"EXPELLIARAMUS!!"

"STUPEFY!!"I shouted.

The spells bounced off each other, going towards the spectators who all ducked. This happened for a while. I attack, she defends. She attacks, I defend. Then she threw a spell and I dodged, yelling, "EXPELLIARMUS!"

Jay's wand had flew away, leaving her defenseless. Then she lit her leg on fire.

Okay, maybe not defenseless.

Jay charged. I felt as if my wand was useless. She did a roundhouse kick, but I ducked and Jay fell due to overpowerment. She quickly swung her fiery leg by my feet as I jumped but she had caught fire to my jeans. What is her problem with lighting jeans on fire?

"Aquamente." I doused the flames quickly, thankful this wasn't Greek fire. As I was dousing my leg, Jay pulled a dagger out (where in hades did she have that?) and sliced at me. I sidestepped but she caught my shoulder leaving a deep cut.

"Oh come on. You're not even trying. COME ON HAYWOOD!!" Jay shouted. I heard Kendall snicker, but the other spectators were most likely confused. Fury lighted inside my veins. I hated that nickname.

With a battle cry that sounded oddly like a drunk lady trying to sound like a lion, I lunged on top of my sister and threw a right hook. Jay was quick though. She pushed me off and shoved me away.

I pulled out my wand and shouted the Full Body-Bind curse. Jay fell down rigid.

"HAILEY WINS!" I looked at Jay's body shocked at my victory. Rascal came over and performed the counter-spell to release Jay.

"I'm never calling you that again." Jay muttered.

"Why does that annoy you so much, Hailey?" Rascal asked.

"Oh! I wanna tell this story. Story time, young witches and wizards. Demigods of all kinds. Gather around." Kendall said excitedly. She seemed a little spastic. Please tell me no one gave her red-dye. She's allergic, and it makes her really hyper. Nethertheless, we all gathered around to hear how I had my stupidity moment.

"So when I was on my way to Water World, I met Jay and Hailey. They were going to kill me because their dad didn't approve of me, then he did and we became best friends. They brought me to their home and then we had a party with some weird food and Hailey ate something before Jay could stop her and it was called- what was it called Jay?"

"Shadowthorn, Kendall. Are you oka-"

"I'm fine. Okay, Marie Louise gave me these energy chews and they were red." She slapped her hands over her mouth. Marie just sighed and muttered something in French. They both know those are a big no for Kendall. "Let's continue. So anyways she ate that and if you eat it, you become delusional and so Hailey skipped off and out of their home and she found a tree and she thought it was her boyfriend and she started to dance with it and she started acting all coupley and she was just hilarious. So me and Jay came up with a ship name and it's called Haywood and Hailey hates it which makes it even more funny." I looked down with my face redder than the gryffindor flag. That made them laugh even more.

"Okay, okay! Let's leave Hailey alone." Jay saved me from further embarrassment. Even if I did beat her, we got each other's back. "Sage and Rascal. You're up."

They both got up from their seat and quickly dueled seeing as it was almost curfew. Rascal won (shocker) by using *sectumsempra* on Sage until she tapped out. Marie and I ran to use some potions we had made to heal Sage and Tori brought some fresh clothes that said, 'RAVENCLAWS ARE THE BEST!'. Sage refused to change. I would too.

"Okay now we are on to the semifinals. With Hailey versus Tori and Tal versus-"

"I'm not gonna duel." I turn to see Tal.

"What do you mean?" Kendall asked. "You won fair and square."

"No I didn't. I forfeit. Kendall takes my place."

"YES! I DO GET TO FIGHT KENDALL!!"Tori interrupts.

"Well, I have to beat Rascal first..." Kendall sighed.

"Are you sure you want to forfeit, Tal?"Rascal asked.

"I'm sure. I don't want to hurt anyone."

"I'm fine!" Kendall started to protest.

That's because of your practically invincible! I'd rather sit and watch."

"Semi finals start tomorrow with Kendall versus me. We will start having one fight a day." Rascal said." Goodnight everybody!"

With that, Jay and I left to the Gryffindor common room for the night.
