Hailey - An Aquatic Altercation

"Hailey..." I groaned not wanting to respond, "Hailey. HAILEY!" Jay shouted in my ear causing me to shoot up in my bed quickly. Jay was standing next to me looking amused.

"Jay, what is so important that you had to scream in my ear?" I asked a bit too calmly.

"Kendall's in the infirmary."

In two minutes flat, I had gotten dressed and was sprinting down to the infirmary, Jay on my heels. When I got to the corridor leading to the infirmary, I could hear screaming. I had a feeling I knew who was screaming.

"HOW DID HE FIND OUT?! ONLY THE FOUR PLUS HAILEY KNOW!" I hear Tori yell at Rascal, when I opened the doors. The infirmary was empty except for three beds. One was obviously occupied by Kendall, but I couldn't see which.

"Tori, I don't know how he found out." Rascal said eerily calm.

"YOU DON'T KNOW?!"

"What's going on?" I ask.

"It seems our favorite Timelord has some secrets." Tori spat. "

"Where's Kendall?" Jay asked the question I was begging an answer too. Rascal pointed his head towards the nearest bed to him. I walked slowly up to it to see Kendall looking quite pale to her usual tanned skin. She had a heavily bandaged collarbone where I assumed Tal had struck her. She looked peaceful and calm.

"Oh, my gods. She looks horrible." Jay gasped.

"Thank you Captain Obvious." Tori grumbled.

"Anytime, Sergeant Sarcastic." Jay sassed.

"Oh, more visitors! All here to see Miss Brown I presume." Madam Pomfrey had came out of her office and saw us all surrounding her bed. "Now, I'm sure you are all worried, but Miss Brown will be fine."

"RASCAL HAD TO HELP YOU! YOU DIDN'T HAVE A CLUE HOW TO HELP HER EARLIER!!" Tori screams. Right then, the infirmary doors opened and Headmistress Brown strode in.

"I have received word that my daughter was here, Poppy. What's wrong with her?"

"The boy says she was stabbed by another student." Madam Pomfrey stated. Rascal nodded as he looked at Kendall worriedly.

"Are you sure Mr. Pond? I have never seen a stab wound do this kind of affect to a person." Rascal made a noise that I could decipher as, "too many onlookers". Headmistress Brown convinced Madam Pomfrey to leave and Tori pulled the sheets around the bed to keep the other two patients from watching. I saw Sacha, still in here from yesterday, look at me with a smirk before the curtain closed shut.

Rascal explained how Kendall was poisoned and he had to shoot her to protect her, how one of the arrows was dipped in liquid from River Styx, how she is almost invincible, and how Tal somehow knew.

"Kendall is like me, she keeps her secrets." Headmistress Brown sighed after a few moments of silence.

"She's not the only one hiding things from us." Tori glared at Rascal who I guess didn't notice.

"HELLO CHICKENS!! MARIE AND I HAVE ARRIVED!" Sage yelled swinging the doors wide open and pulling the French Ravenclaw towards us.

"I'll take this as my cue to leave. Poppy, make sure I am informed when she wakes." Headmistress Brown left without another word.

"So, what did we miss?" Marie Louise asked.

We kept Kendall's Achilles heel from Marie and Sage, just in case. Then, we headed out to the Black Lake to duel. Me versus Tori. At least I'm near the water, now I have a few tricks up my sleeve.

"Ready? BEGIN!"

"REDUCTO!"

"AQUAMENTE!" Our spells bounced off of  each other and were flung out into the woods.

Tori was quick and shouted another spell as I put up a shielding charm. I had practiced this trick for a couple days, but it hasn't always worked. I hope it will right now.

I thrust my arm out and water surged out of the lake, soaking everyone. Tori was fuming.

I shot the stunning spell and Tori jumped up, doing a backflip in the air, and landed perfectly, dodging the spell.

Tori thrust her arm out too and I saw water come out of the lake, hurtling towards me. I split the water so it went around me and landed in the woods, but the water never landed. The water was still surrounding me, trapping me in a water cage.

I pounded on the liquid hoping it would break. It started to close in. Closer and closer. I felt like I couldn't breathe. My breaths started to stagger. I don't want lose, but I can't.

"LET ME OUT!! TORI YOU WIN!" I shouted and the water faded into vapor. "How did you do that?"

"I dunno, it was magic." Tori smirked.

"TORI WINS!" Rascal announced. I smiled while still trying to calm myself.

"Awe, I was really hoping my sister would win. She seems pretty cool." A sly voice said. I saw Rascal and Tori tense up. I turned to see a boy about 18 with black hair and sinister sea green eyes. If this isn't him, nothing else matches Kendall's description she gave me...

"Hello Rascal." Percy smiled.
