The next day came and Rocky immediately got out of bed to get ready. He first woke up his brother to get ready aswell.
Rocky: Come on buddy! Today is the day!
Joshie: *gasps* Today is the day!?
Rocky: yes!
Rocky and Joshie: let's do this!
They went to go get ready for the conference. They managed to finish breakfast, get into the car, and started heading over to where the conference was taking place.
Rocky: are you ready for this Joshie?
Joshie: I'm not sure, but I'm positive that things might go well, I hope
Rocky: yeah, me too *looks at the window and then sighs*
They soon finally arrived as the two boys saw the PAW patrol on stage. Their eyes lit up with excitement as they got out of the car. There was a whole crowd of people waiting for the PAW Patrol to choose the next recruits. Rocky and Joshie tried making their way to the front.
Rocky: excuse me, pardon me, sorry
Joshie: *gasps* woah
Rocky: it's the leader, Ryder
Mayor Goodway: ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the PAW Patrol!
Everyone cheered and clapped. Joshie covered his ears from the loud cheering crowd. Rocky noticed so he got out a pair of headphones for him.
Rocky: here pal *puts headphones on Joshie* so you don't have to cover your ears the entire time
Joshie: thanks Rocky
Rocky: your welcome Joshie
Ryder: thanks Mayor Goodway. I'm very excited to get some new recruits to join the PAW Patrol. This will be your opportunity to finally do great things in the world, instead of feeling like you don't. So, it would be best if someone could come on up here and say that you want to join the team
Rocky: I want to and so does my brother
Ryder looked down to see a young boy and pup, smiling proudly.
Ryder: well then come on up
The two brothers got up on the stage as Joshie looked back and froze in fear.
Rocky: oh, I forgot that you have stage fright
Joshie: b...ba...badly
Rocky: hold on to my paw Joshie, it's going to be ok
Joshie: I'd rather get down, I'm so sorry
Ryder: well, what makes you guys PAW Patrol material?
Rocky: well, we're really helpful and caring towards others
?: you honestly can't be seriously thinking about having him in your team Ryder
Rocky turned around to the crowd.
Rocky: huh?
?: yeah, he's just a nobody
Rocky: no! I'm not!
?: hey, if it makes you feel worse, you're just a mixed breed pup, and no one even remembers that breed hahahahahaha
?: yeah! You're just a smelly dumb Mixed breed
Crowd: a dumb Mixed breed, a dumb Mixed breed *the crowd starts laughing*
Rocky started backing up out of being upset. He then suddenly began tearing up as everyone continued laughing at him and making fun of him. Rocky couldn't handle it anymore and started to cry as he lowered his head and ears. Tears dropped down from his face as he was wiping his eyes. Joshie saw his brother in tears as he started getting mad. He climbed back up on to the stage, to defend his brother.
