CLARKE

"Clarke calm down." Raven whispered in my ear.

Looking right at Diyoza. "I can't do that if she thinks she can just walk up to me and tell me how to run my school because I benched her all-star." I was upset, no, beyond that, vexed. This school has been built on so much sweat I won't let it be tarnished. "There are rules to be followed Miss Komhades, if your daughter fails to follow them she will be disciplined just like everyone else or better yet, find another school."

"Okay back up a little bit, what she means..."

"Is that I don't care about how much money you have. Have something to complain about, make it important."

Standing toe to toe with Diyoza who was smirking like a lioness about to attack. "Miss Griffin." She said, analyzing me like she just realized I'm right in front of her. "I'm glad my daughter is under you." so glad I'm not drinking anything. "It's rare to find strict authority these days." She turns to Raven and says her goodbye while keeping an eye on me. When I think she's leaving, Diyoza stops when we shoulder to shoulder. "Guess you're in charge now huh." Whispering in my ear.

And to think I have to put up with her at some point, well nothing can get me on my knees. Rich folks like her always think they can control the school's decisions because of the money pumped in by them.

"That was uncalled for." Raven argued. "There are better ways of telling her that her daughter is an addict."

Where is Octavia when you need her to defuse the situation? "She's not an addict." I understand Raven's point but I couldn't careless that's why I stay away from these kind of talks but nope, why does Diyoza want to test me, don't know why but I have a bad feeling about this. Could she suspect something and that's why she's digging around.

Rolling her eyes at me. "Now you're defending her." Pushing me to the direction of the bus. We had already wasted time, by now we would have been halfway down the road. Losing to Polis High was just plane ridiculous, second place is the same as losing because you were close but not close enough. Lexa and her groupies will be getting two weeks detention and helping out with the charity event will be having in two months.

Has if today couldn't get any worse, Nylah approached me several times during the activities, even after I told her that I'm seeing someone. She straight up told me, that wasn't her problem, I'm beginning to suspect if she comforted me because of some motive after Bellamy and I broke up. Anyway I need to find time and talk to her.

A week later.

I've been so busy, there hasn't been time for anything else. So many home-works, class excise, and preparing for the mid-term tests has my head hurting constantly. With most meals I miss, I wouldn't be surprise if it's because I'm hungry.

The door opens and closes. This week I get to supervise their detention. First to come in is Lexa, she's dressed in the school black slacks today. Bag hanging on one shoulder, hair in one long bread, she's looking like Michelle Rodríguez in the movie S.W.A.T with a few strand of hair falling over her face. Red lips looking dangerously delicious. Those lips were not painted this morning when I saw her.

"You're expensive to get a hold of."

If it isn't my favorite person in the world. "Honey I'm priceless." I responded. Settling my pen to give her my full attention. "Happy for your detention?"

"More like happy to steal a kiss before the others get here." She quickly rounds the desk and gives me a sweet peck on the lips. Butterflies are dancing around me right now, I glance over her shoulder and my mood immediately sours.

Even Lexa notices, not that I was even pretending. "What?" she pulls back completely, rounding back to the front table so she can face me. "You're still mad at me for getting high at a school event?" wish I had time to think about that.

With an assuring smile. "Sit down Lexa." The door opens and Costia is the first to walking in, flashing a huge smile just when Lexa turns to her. It's so obvious that the girl likes her, hell she can't even blink when Lexa is in her proximity.

I hear them chit chat a little before taking there sits. Luna joins the party five minutes late and I could care less. Sneaking glances at Lexa is my part time activity, she opens a book, spreads her legs under the table, dame I wish she had her skirt on. Trailing upwards I catch her staring at me over the book.

Enough with the detention, I let them out early. Lexa leaves with them without even looking behind but I think I know her enough to know she's making sure they gone. Like clockwork, the door opens when I'm parking up my stuff. I have my back towards the door so I can't see who enters but I can guess. "Forgot something Lexa?"

"Don't know if I forgot my name but last I checked I wasn't Lexa." Octavia. Just when I turn to her, the door opens again and Lexa steps inside. "Oh, Lexa, right on time." All three of us just stand there, Octavia and I waiting for Lexa to say something.

"Ugh, can I talk to you for a minute." She asks. Nodding I turn to Octavia, she scoffs but leaves without a word for now. "Does she know?"

"She does." Her mouth opens but I cut her off. "Come over to my house. You can follow me there."

"Your house?"

"Whether you coming or not, is up to you."

When I think she's not coming I see a familiar car in my rearview mirror. A smile crosses my face. We get at the plaza, punching in my code. Lexa is right behind, as we take the stairs. Elevators can be suffocating.

She keeps her distance even inside. Walking into the kitchen I hand a glass of juice. "what would you want to eat?"

Her eyes bounces over my face. "You want to order something now, we could have picked something on our way here."

"I'm cooking." She raises an eyebrow. "So again, what would you like to eat?"

"Ok, ugh, Pasta and meatballs."

Nodding. "Let me just change, I'll be right back." she stands and finishes her juice. "Make yourself at home." she is sweet, picking things up, giving them a glance and moving to the next.

I change into my oversized hoodie. Cooked for us what she wanted while listening to her rant about some game she was watching. We settle down, clearing our plates. Lexa tells me more about her grandmother, honestly I think she doesn't even know she's doing it.

"Are you even listening to me?"

"Of course."

"What did I say?"

Chuckling "Fine. Blacked out." she smiles changing the channel. "let's go upstairs." Taking her hand in mine.
